Three of them had lost their fighting capability, and their battle losses had quickly reached half.
Rosa furrowed her brows deeply. At this point, the mission had already failed. Although she had come with a sense of impending failure, she hadn’t expected that the newly formed Xiong Bing Lian would be so inadequate.
Letting out a deep sigh, Rosa suppressed her inner disappointment and stood up. "Now, everyone gather. We need to engage in direct combat; we can't let that guy pick us off one by one."
Reina and Shasha could hear Rosa's tactical arrangement. Reina sighed lightly, "It's a pity. Rosa's tactical deployment is fine; it's just that these guys are too weak."
"After all, they just awakened not long ago. You can't expect them to be incredibly strong right from the start," Shasha chuckled. He understood Reina's frustration but felt that it was too much to push them too hard. It was also partly their fault for not preparing in advance, waiting until the enemy was ready to strike before activating the Divine River Gene. Now, much of the passive situation lay on Reina and Ducao.
Reina naturally didn’t know what Shasha was thinking. At this moment, she only hoped that after this setback, these individuals would gain clarity and seriously commit to their training.
Meanwhile, Zhao Xin, Liu Chuang, and Glen were engaged in combat with the monkey.
Rosa stood by using her spatial abilities to ensure the trio's attacks wouldn’t miss while simultaneously redirecting the monkey's lethal strikes.
It appeared as if they were evenly matched, but in reality, if Rosa had noticed the monkey's gaze, she would have seen that it was filled with mockery; it was merely playing with them.
As Rosa used wormhole energy to allow the trio’s weapons to strike the monkey, just when they thought they had won, the monkey transformed into a golden hair strand, leaving them dumbfounded.
"Have we been fighting a single hair all along?"
"You are all too weak!" A thickened long staff swept the four of them away, crashing into countless trees before finally coming to a stop.
Having narrowly escaped thanks to her spatial abilities, Rosa looked at the monkey with injuries all over her body and gasped for breath. "You’ve been using clones to fight us all along."
The monkey glanced at her and said lightly, "You all can't even make me truly show my strength."
Rosa felt both angry and helpless upon hearing this, but she couldn't deny that it was indeed the truth. She had always been known as the flower of the military, a source of pride for the army. Even after joining Xiong Bing Lian, she still believed she was a source of pride.
Thus, whether in her daily interactions with them or as a tactical instructor, she always thought of herself as different from these rabble. But now, she realized just how powerless she truly was.
What did it matter to be the pride of the military? What did it matter that Xiong Bing Lian was elite? She could barely defeat even a single clone; how could she possibly fight against those ferocious beings of the Tao Tie Civilization?
As she watched the monkey's staff come crashing down, Rosa bitterly smiled and closed her eyes. She had given up.
'Bang!'
The expected pain did not come; instead, a deafening sound echoed. Rosa and Huo Ran opened their eyes to see a figure standing protectively in front of her. She parted her lips, wanting to say something but found herself unable to speak.
"Is this how you give up? It's just a little setback. If you can't win now, then work harder until you can defeat him. If you're not even willing to try, then all your efforts will have been in vain."
Without turning back, Shasha slowly stepped forward and removed her exclusive Xiong Bing Lian jacket. She beckoned to the surprised monkey with a finger. "Bullying the weak and acting so self-righteous? Come on, let's see what you've got!"
Having lived for so long, the monkey had never seen someone so arrogant before. A cold smile appeared on his face. "You want to die? Why would I stop you?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the golden staff swept toward her with thunderous force.
Shasha took a deep breath, clenched her right fist to gather strength, and shouted loudly as she unleashed a powerful strike!
'Boom!'
The Fist Staff collided, and the shockwave generated by the force sent Rosa flying far away.
With just this one strike, Rosa deeply understood that the power of these two individuals was on an entirely different level compared to his own.
It was also with this single punch that the Monkey's expression turned serious, dispelling any trace of contempt within him. "You've got some skill; let's see more!"
A golden staff, a pair of iron fists!
Big Dipper Fist versus Qi Da Sheng; the two demonstrated what it meant to reach the pinnacle of martial prowess. Their incredible speed left both Rosa and the observing Reina unable to discern the specifics of their clash. However, the sounds reverberating through the air made it clear just how intense their battle was.
Members of Xiong Bing Lian gradually regained consciousness and gathered around Rosa to watch the fight. Everyone believed such combat could only be witnessed in movies or stories, never imagining they would see it unfold before their eyes.
Glen couldn't help but murmur, "To fight aliens, aren't these two enough?"
"Tao Tie can't be defeated by just two people!" Reina slowly approached and stood with them. "The Tao Tie civilization has existed for twenty thousand years. Their genes and mechanical warriors are even stronger than the deities in our star system. But don't be discouraged; the genes awakening within you will make you stronger."
"Will we be stronger than Brother Xia and Sun Wukong?" Zhao Xin couldn't help but ask.
Reina looked around at everyone and nodded firmly. "Of course you will!"
At this, everyone felt a surge of anticipation. Meanwhile, Shasha and Sun Wukong were about to determine a victor between them.
With a loud boom, Shasha and the Monkey were forced out of their void, standing ten meters apart in a standoff.
"Let's keep fighting; it seems we won't be able to determine a clear winner otherwise. How about we settle it with one decisive move?" Shasha suggested with a smile.
The monkey nodded in response, "Let's go!"
One raised a staff, the other lifted a fist, both poised for action!
As the leaves fell to the ground, the monkey Huo Ran widened his eyes, raising the staff above his head, "Strike with all your might!"
"Big Dipper!" Shasha gathered energy in her hands, "Vibration! Wave Palm!"
The blazing light was blinding, and the shockwave crashed down like a missile, shattering the surrounding trees, ground, and rocks into pieces.
When Reina and Rosa gradually opened their eyes, there was no trace of the forest left before them.
What lay in front of them was merely a pit that seemed to have been created by dozens of tons of explosives.
