As the shimmering light approached her pupils, Reina struggled to summon her dark alloy shield to block in front of herself. The force of the blast surged through the shield, enveloping her tightly.
Not far away, a monkey engaged in fierce combat with the enemy noticed this and abandoned his opponent. With a swift leap, he charged forward just as the cannon fire ceased. Although Reina was battered and bruised, she did not appear too weak. In fact, she still had enough strength to throw out a Flame Command to keep those Mechanical Gluttons at bay.
"Can you still fight?" The monkey asked as he blocked an incoming enemy for Reina.
Reina nodded and took a heavy breath. "I'm fine; you need to get back to your position quickly and prioritize helping Qilin deal with that sniper hiding in the shadows."
Hesitating for a moment at her words, the monkey ultimately decided to go. The command center had previously emphasized that mission objectives took precedence over personal safety.
With the monkey gone, Reina was left to defend herself. Although her power was reduced by a third, as one of the three major projects of Divine River Gene—Sunlight—her combat capability was not something to be underestimated.
Without the interference of the sniper, the command platform stood firm like a mountain.
At this moment, Qilin's expression was grim. Just a moment ago, in an effort to protect herself, Rui Mengmeng had been hit. Although her genetic enhancements ensured her life was not in danger, she still fainted.
That Gluttonous Sniper was incredibly strong; she had barely locked onto his position when his attack came. The gap between her and him was like that between a novice and an elite, but she couldn't simply concede defeat.

Alien civilizations might not be as formidable as they seemed; they had merely advanced thousands of years earlier than Earth. Their technological superiority did not mean they could withstand such power.
With Soton by her side, Shasha charged toward the signal tower where Reina was fighting alone. Looking up, she saw the Sunlight battling fiercely. After a moment's thought, Shasha turned to Soton and asked, "Do you see those transport ships over a kilometer away?"
Soton gazed into the distance and noticed Mechanical Gluttons continuously emerging from the transport ships. He nodded in response.
"That's their armory. If we take them out, we can head back for dinner sooner!"
The mention of dinner motivated Soton, making him leap forward with enthusiasm.
Shasha glanced at the top of the tower; it was about 70 meters above ground—not too high. She stomped her feet and launched herself upward.
There’s a saying: Ants Can Kill Elephants. The Mechanical Gluttons were fearless; even if Reina's abilities were strong, she couldn't fend off the relentless attacks coming from all directions like swarming ants.
After being hit several times, her Dark Alloy Armor absorbed the lethal blows, but the energy depletion could not be replenished immediately.
A silent Mechanical Glutton had already crept up to the top of the tower, possessing the ability to become invisible, which made it impossible for Reina to detect. Just as the alloy long knife was about to strike Reina's neck, the chill from Blade made her change color.
In the next moment, as Reina couldn't help but smile bitterly, the anticipated pain did not come.
"Not worried at all?"
A playful yet familiar voice rang in her ears, and an overwhelming joy surged within Reina. "It's you, Shasha!"
"Focus on dealing with the trouble at hand."
Reina nodded, her expression turning serious. Now she could unleash her power without any reservations.
With a single Vibration and a surge of stellar energy, the two worked together, and soon the Mechanical Glutton was either shattered into pieces or left smoking. Before long, the Mechanical Glutton at the command center was completely dealt with.
After gaining a moment to breathe, Shasha couldn't help but ask, "What's the situation now?"
"The enemy's Command Ship has defensive barriers; our attacks are ineffective." Reina bit her lip. "And those transport ships keep producing troops. Everyone else is tied up right now."
Hearing this, Shasha smiled and pointed toward the location of those transport ships.
Looking over, Reina saw Soton smashing two of them down like a giant copper wheel. After a moment of shock, her face lit up with surprise but quickly turned into another bitter smile. "Even if we take out their troops, it won't matter. As long as that Command Ship is here, it can open a wormhole to continue deploying transport ships."
"Then leave it to me. Let Rosa open a wormhole to breach the defensive barrier for five seconds."
Reina froze, her expression changing drastically. "What are you planning to do?"
Shasha waved her hand to interrupt the impending objection. "This is the only way right now."
After a moment of silence, Reina took a deep breath and spoke into the communicator with a serious tone. "Rosa, in ten seconds, open a wormhole on the defensive barrier of the Tao Tie Command Ship!”
As the words fell, Shasha dashed forward, her Vibration transforming into a sonic boom that propelled her toward the Command Ship.
Below the Great Cross Ship, Rosa spotted a figure streaking toward her like a meteor. She had no time to think about who it was; activating her ability, she opened a space that twisted the defensive barriers, revealing a narrow passage that could accommodate only one person.
In the next moment, the meteor shot through the opening created by Rosa.
The wormhole closed behind them, and Rosa gasped for breath. The effort to alter the defensive field had nearly drained her energy, leaving her with a bitter smile. Her cultivation was still insufficient; her ability development was too low.
With that thought, she instinctively looked up at the Great Cross Ship, hoping that this would be effective!
This scene was witnessed by many, some praying, others filled with hope.
In response to their anticipation came an explosion that sent them into cheers.
