A person's obsession can last a lifetime, but do gods have obsessions? Naturally, they do.
Once upon a time, the obsession between Shiyan and Holy Kaisa lasted for millennia. They were sisters and enemies, destined for only one to survive.
The first to learn of Morgana's arrival on Earth was Shiyan, but due to some personal motives, she chose not to report it. Deep down, she still hoped that Shasha could resolve the situation. Unfortunately, before Morgana could leave Earth, Holy Kaisa finally discovered her whereabouts.
It was unfortunate not only for Morgana but also for Shasha.
Above Giant Gorge, the Cross Throne slowly descended. The figures clad in sacred armor scanned the gathering crowd on the deck with cold expressions.
At the pinnacle of the cross, a figure sat on the throne, adorned in divine armor. The aura of holiness surrounding her commanded a unique regal presence with every gesture. Although she was nearly twenty thousand years old, her appearance remained frozen in her youth—radiant, unparalleled, and inviolable.
"War maniac Ducao, it's been a long time," Kesha said lazily as she propped her head up and swept her gaze over the crowd. "Ever since the battle of Deno, you vanished. I didn't expect you to show up here."
"As long as I fight for honor, what difference does it make where I am?" Ducao replied solemnly.
"You truly live up to your reputation as a creature born for battle. But can you withstand forces other than Tao Tie now?" Kesha said with a half-smile. "You should be well aware of my intentions."
Ducao glanced at Shiyan beside Kesha, whose expression was quite complex, then nodded. "I know you're here for the Fallen Queen Morgana who recently descended to Earth, but this is not your battlefield!"
"Whether it is or not is not for you to decide. Do you understand how dangerous Morgana is? She incites intelligent beings to unleash their inner evil desires, transforming them into fallen demons. Wherever she goes, bloodshed follows; her infamy rivals that of Death God Karl from the Underworld System. Can you bear such consequences?"
Kesha looked down at Ducao with an indifferent expression. She didn't care what they thought; however, their actions violated the Justice Order and were unacceptable. Even if they had to act, they needed the consent of the rightful owner. If they remained obstinate, then using force wouldn't be considered a breach of order.
Ducao understood Kesha's intentions all too well but had no choice but to swallow this bitter pill. The situation was stronger than him; he had no means to resist against such pressure.
Seeing Ducao silent, Kesha continued, "Ducao, you must understand that we act to bring about justice, and only justice is the true law governing the entire universe. What I have done is already for your sake."
As her words fell, silence enveloped the room, leaving everyone at a loss for how to counter her statement, regardless of which side they were on.
"If your version of justice requires sacrificing the lives and interests of a small number of people to serve an unreachable majority, then I cannot accept your so-called justice!"
The sudden voice drew everyone's attention. The speaker's expression was cold; those familiar with him noticed a slight change in his demeanor, while those unfamiliar looked on with confusion.
Among those present, four women felt a surge of anxiety. The authority of Holy Kaisa was undeniable, and this action was akin to striking a rock with an egg.
Before Kesha could respond, a guard stepped forward to reprimand.
"Bold! How could the rules set by Lord Kesha be wrong?"
"The Justice Order has existed for millennia; how can you claim it is not worthy of recognition?"
"Shut your mouth; you probably don't even know what justice truly is."
Indeed, what is justice? According to the laws of the Order, it is the punishment of Extreme Libertarianism, serving as the guidelines and framework for their actions. But do they truly understand what real justice means?
"It’s truly laughable. You proclaim yourselves as agents of justice, but do you really comprehend what justice entails? Do you possess any compassion? Do you understand what it means to not abandon anyone who can be saved?"
Even the followers of God believe that everyone can be redeemed; yet the so-called supreme deity, Holy Kaisa, seems to lack this understanding.
Her sense of justice was cruel and came with certain sacrifices.
Is bloody justice still considered justice? Shasha's expression gradually turned to anger. "Humanity's understanding of justice is to support the weak against the strong. They will draw their swords at a moment's notice for those who are unrelated to them, because they seek to avenge the victims and provide the fairness that others cannot. But look at your so-called justice; it can only be described as hypocrisy. It claims to be for the greater good, yet ultimately it uses blood to forge a twisted peace. Is this justice?!"
Recalling her past life in the orphanage, she remembered those hypocritical caretakers who appeared so friendly in public but were actually wolves in sheep's clothing, seeking to deceive the outside world for attention and self-interest. They abused orphans, treating them as commodities to be sold to prospective adopters, and even killed some by accident, only to claim they were ill. Yet the outside world praised such orphanages, lauding those heartless individuals for their care of vulnerable children.
Is this justice? They proclaimed it as such, but in reality, it was merely a means to satisfy their own desires!
The crowd fell into deep thought after hearing these words, even affecting the guards who had previously held a firm belief in the Justice Order. Though loyal, they were not blind; at least Shiyan was contemplating the meaning behind those words.
This scene caused Kesha to frown slightly.
