The appearance of Nebula may seem unchanged, but in reality, the core justice it once embodied has begun to fade gradually since the passing of Holy Kaisa.
Bearing the weight of her mission, Yan has transformed from a left-wing guardian into the current Queen. Although her youthful exterior remains exquisite, it now carries a maturity that she never possessed before. Clad in the regal armor of the Queen and adorned with a crown symbolizing the highest authority of Nebula, her long hair is tied up elegantly. Yet, she is not happy; the smiles of her past have diminished significantly.
She is acutely aware of how many people covet the position she occupies and how many are waiting to see her fail. Kesha's dying wish was to expel Morgana from Earth, along with the Tao Tie. However, countless individuals are willing to fight for Kesha, while those willing to fight for Earth are few and far between.
If it weren't for that man on Earth, perhaps everything there would be irrelevant to her. Yet, justice cannot stand by and watch a civilization be wiped out, especially one as promising as humanity.
"I do not doubt the King's abilities, but we still have not established contact with Earth," spoke Robespierre, the prince of the Yiren Civilization and now the commander of the Holy Expeditionary Force.
"Currently, Demon One controls Earth's communications, making its singular communication capabilities nearly unmatched. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been at war with Morgana for tens of thousands of years!" said Kaila, who now serves as a left-wing guardian. Though she is less capable than Yan in both appearance and strength, within the City of the Envoy, she ranks just below Yan.
"Forgive my bluntness! We answered the call for justice to participate in this cosmic war for Queen Kaisa's revenge. The demons are sweeping in, yet this esteemed envoy tells us it will take ten thousand years to fight back. For us Yiren Civilization, that's like fighting through our ancestors' eighteen generations!"
Kaila frowned at this remark. "Real wars can actually be resolved in just a few years or decades."
"We cannot engage Morgana directly. If she chooses to decapitate our commander, then our entire army will collapse. Therefore, we can only help you hold off the Tao Tie Legion."
Yan frowned. "You are not helping me; you are aiding justice!"
"Yes, yes, aiding justice. But ever since Holy Kaisa fell, justice has already begun to fade," Robespierre said with a mournful expression on his face, which indirectly confirmed how deeply ingrained Holy Kaisa's rule was in their hearts.
The more he spoke like this, the worse Yan's expression became. "Watch your words! Even if you have made great contributions to Queen Kaisa in the past, it does not mean you can disregard my authority!"
Robespierre fell silent. At that moment, the communications officer suddenly spoke up, "Your Majesty, the worm bridge of the Earth transport ship Nebula has been opened, and four individuals are about to arrive at the Nebula."
Yan's delicate features darkened instantly. "Did I not forbid the evacuation of the Earth battlefield? Kaila, take the Royal Guard to the worm bridge!"
Yan's orders were undoubtedly swift, but the arrivals were even faster.
Just as Kaila received her orders, four figures had already appeared at the cloud steps of the City of the Envoy. One of them, a tall man, laughed and said, "What's wrong? Old friend, are you not going to give us a warm welcome?"
Yan was taken aback, her expression momentarily lost and devoid of the earlier authority she had shown towards Prince Yiren.
Kaila, observing this interaction, couldn't help but wonder if this was indeed the man whom Holy Kaisa had designated as Yan's idol.
Indeed, it was Shasha who had arrived. The speed of the worm bridge was remarkable; they had reached their destination in almost no time at all. Shasha couldn't help but marvel at how convenient alien technology was.
Although surprised by Shasha's arrival, Yan still needed to maintain her dignity as Queen. She cleared her throat lightly and said, "Representative of Earth, Mr. Shasha, have you come to bring me good news?"
Shasha paused at her words and noticed Robespierre, quickly dropping his previous friendly demeanor and adopting a more formal stance. "I am here to reassure Your Majesty that the Tao Tie in the Earth war zone has begun to gradually withdraw. It seems there is no longer a significant threat. As for news regarding Morgana, I believe it is better discussed privately."
Noticing Shasha's expression, Yan couldn't help but feel puzzled. Was he here to discuss Morgana with her?
Just as she contemplated how to respond, a troubling message came through from the communications officer: the battleship Mara, responsible for entering the Earth battlefield via Demon No. 1, had been ambushed and wiped out.
"How is this possible? The Tao Tie shouldn't possess such strength; Sword Demon Ato has just undergone rebirth. Who could it be?" Yan murmured to herself for a moment before commanding, "Prepare Blade No. 7 for a breakthrough. Also, transmit Mara's images to me; I want to see who did this."
As the scene shifted, aboard the Mara Battleship, a group of men was busy cleaning up the battlefield. Leading them was none other than Hua Ye, who had previously had a brief encounter with Shasha. He held the Sword of the Envoy, looking quite pleased as he gazed through the void at the 'camera.'
"I would never admit that a girl like you is the heir to my beloved Kesha!"
Watching him show off again, Shasha couldn't help but chuckle. "Could you please help me relay my voice over?"
Kaila was curious, and even Yan wondered what she was up to, so she complied.
When Shasha's words reached Hua Ye, who was preparing to deliver his battle oath, his expression suddenly stiffened. "Are you planning to finish that unfinished battle with me?"
"Damn it, why are you in the City of the Envoy?!" Hua Ye gritted his teeth, frustrated that this person seemed to be everywhere.
Seeing Hua Ye's furious expression, Yan and Kaila fell silent. The only one capable of provoking such a reaction from the notoriously cunning Old God was undoubtedly Shasha.
