Ziya watched as Severe Cold placed the remains of Bathing White's child and the bones together. They were a mother and son; although not born of the same blood, their bond surpassed that of many legitimate families. 0

The train arrived at a small station, and passengers surged toward the exit. Ziya noticed a young traveler above her who was retrieving his suitcase. After he took it down, he smiled politely at Ziya before disappearing into the crowd of disembarking passengers. 0

Turning back, Ziya saw that Severe Cold had once again immersed herself in the content of her manuscript. She picked up her phone to check the time; there was still an hour until they reached Sun Meng's location. 0

"Are we almost there?" Severe Cold slightly raised her head and asked Ziya. 0

"Yes, but before we arrive, may I ask you a few questions?" Ziya replied with a smile, her dimples causing a fleeting stir in Severe Cold's heart, though she quickly regained her composure. 0

Severe Cold smiled faintly and rested her arms on the opposing table. "Go ahead! I am happy to help; I will share everything I know." 0

"How did the Twin Sisters die? And what circumstances led to the other children's accidents?" 0

Ziya's question seemed to plunge Severe Cold back into memories. She began to speak: "The landlady's husband loved to drink, and when he did, he would yell at people. The Twin Sisters were terrified; when they heard their parents arguing, they ran into the Small Bedroom thinking they could hide by pulling the curtains, but accidentally activated the automatic curtain track, leading to the tragedy. 0

My sister, Min, woke up from a nap feeling parched and searched for something to drink in the absence of adults. In her dazed state, she mistook pesticide stored in a beverage bottle for water. 0

The child from Uncle Ba's family loved playing mobile games but didn't have a phone of his own. He secretly took his father's phone to play games in the cellar, which was originally used for storing sweet potatoes and other crops. To prevent spoilage, chemicals were often added to those crops. A tragedy occurred when he played in a closed environment without ventilation. 0

As for the incident at Lian Gen Uncle's house, it was even simpler. That child was clever; noticing how much electricity his family consumed each month, he thought he could outsmart them by tampering with the meter. He used a thin wire on an aluminum line that caused sparks to fly. In fear, he tried to smother it with his clothes, and that led to…" 0

"Oh… this incident is indeed a lesson learned," Ziya said thoughtfully. "There are several issues here: first, children should not be left alone at home; second, toxic substances should never be stored in beverage bottles and should be kept out of reach; but thirdly, rural areas lack warning signs like supermarkets do, which complicates matters." 0

“Right,” Severe Cold pushed the suitcase towards Ziya and continued, “I won’t be reading your manuscript after all. Just to clarify, I’m not timid; in reality, I’ve encountered all sorts of things. I even took photos of a corpse that was still warm… but your manuscript? No way! However, I have another suggestion: you could write about the Lin Sisters. I can provide you with storylines about them for free; I found out a lot during my research later.” 0

“Cough! Speaking of which, you guys are really quite timid. But since you’re offering me material, I’ll let this slide… Anyway, I’m about to get off. Where do you plan to disembark, Officer?” 0

“D City, Lotus Town is in the direction I’m headed,” Severe Cold said mysteriously. 0

“Ah… so it’s the same direction as mine. Phew… traveling is really exhausting,” Ziya stretched and sighed softly. Then she looked at Severe Cold as if trying to see through his thoughts and said, “By the way, Officer, do you have a dual personality?” 0

“Why do you ask that?” Severe Cold raised an eyebrow. 0

“You’re lively one moment and then turn into a detective like Sherlock Holmes the next… cough… just a metaphor, don’t scold me.” 0

“In my opinion, there are countless personalities among writers. How about I briefly outline some themes for you? You can write them as if they were real. So, during your writing process, are you scared?” Severe Cold avoided answering Ziya’s question but instead posed his own inquiry. This made Ziya chuckle silently, thinking to herself that he truly was suited for his line of work. 0

“I… have nothing to say.” 0

“Alright! Here’s my number. Also, take this; I’ll keep following your Black-Clad Woman Series. How you describe their romantic entanglements will depend on you. And that skeleton under Bathing White is a secret… I didn’t dare look at the front part, but I must see the story about the Lin Sisters.” Severe Cold handed Ziya a small notebook and prepared to get off with his suitcase. 0

The train hissed as it pulled into the station, and the platform was bustling with noise. The crowd pressed together like boiling dumplings. Ziya leaned out of the train window to catch a glimpse of Sun Meng's figure while Severe Cold grabbed her suitcase and stepped off the train together. 0

“Hey! Ziya…” Ziya heard a shout; it was Sun Meng waving and calling out to her. 0
