This is a strange incident that took place at a vocational school in Shandong.
A young man discovered a treasure in the dormitory and casually tossed it to his roommate. Little did he know that later that night, something unclean would come knocking at their door.
What exactly happened here?
This event is based on my personal experience. A year ago, I dropped out of school, and my family didn’t want me wandering around society, so they found me a vocational school to learn a trade.
To me, it felt like just a culinary training school.
The teacher in charge of reception led me and another new student to a dormitory building that looked quite old and shabby. My fellow student was just as dissatisfied with the conditions as I was.
As we entered the dormitory and climbed the rickety stairs, he couldn’t help but complain, “This place is falling apart.”
The teacher reassured us to hang in there; once the previous batch of students graduated, we would be moved to new accommodations.
As soon as we stepped into the corridor of our dormitory, I caught a strong musty smell. We were assigned to Room 411, which had bunk beds for four people. After a brief introduction, I learned that my companion’s name was Zhao Xiaowu.
After dropping off our luggage, he mentioned that the room felt damp and went to open the balcony door for some ventilation. Once on the balcony, he discovered a treasure and tossed it over for me to see.
After messing around for a while, we felt a bit hungry and decided to head to the cafeteria for a meal.
When we returned to the dormitory, we found another roommate waiting for us. He introduced himself as Yang Dianfeng. Since we were all around the same age, we quickly became familiar with each other.
Later that night, unable to sleep, Zhao Xiaowu suggested telling ghost stories out of boredom. The more he told, the more animated he became. He recounted a tale about a haunted bathroom and even acted it out dramatically. To our surprise, Yang Dianfeng was genuinely frightened by it. After chatting for a while longer, we decided to call it a night.
I don’t know what time it was when I woke up needing to use the bathroom. Groggy and half-asleep, I got up and headed toward the restroom.
After I finished using the restroom, I passed by the sink where a large mirror hung. Suddenly, I noticed a woman in a red dress standing in the reflection. It startled me so much that I quickly turned around, but there was nothing there.
I thought to myself: Could it be that I've really seen a ghost? Without hesitation, I dashed back to my dorm room.
As I ran down the hallway, I noticed that the originally dim yellow lights had turned red, casting an eerie glow throughout the corridor.
Fear gripped me even more, and I sprinted back to my dorm, locking the door behind me. It took me a while to calm down.
Just as I was about to return to bed, another terrifying scene unfolded before me.
On the balcony of the dorm room stood a woman in a red dress. I could see her cold eyes fixed on me, her lips curling into a slow smile as if she had spotted her prey.
I locked eyes with her for just a moment, and my mind began to blur, as if she were summoning me.
My body moved uncontrollably toward the balcony. When I stepped outside, the woman in red had vanished.
Leaning over the balcony railing, I looked down and saw her standing below, still wearing that same expression, as if waiting for me to jump.
Terror gripped my heart, yet my body felt compelled to leap.
Just when I thought I was doomed, someone suddenly grabbed me from behind—it was Yang Dianfeng.
He had gotten up to use the restroom and saw me on the balcony about to jump. He rushed over and pulled me back.
His intervention snapped me back to reality. Looking down below filled me with dread; if I had jumped, I would have either died or been seriously injured.
I recounted what had just happened to Yang Dianfeng, and he was equally shaken.
After taking some time to recover, I finally returned to bed. However, that night was restless; I couldn't shake the feeling that the woman in red was circling above me.
Early the next morning, just as dawn broke, I was awakened by Yang Dianfeng's shouting. He was on the balcony, yelling, "Zhao Xiaowu is in trouble!"
A sense of foreboding washed over me as I hurried to the balcony.
Yang Dianfeng looked panicked as he told me, "Zhao Xiaowu jumped off the building."
I leaned over the balcony and saw Zhao Xiaowu lying on the ground floor, his head surrounded by blood.
We quickly notified the school and called an ambulance to take Zhao Xiaowu to the hospital.
Fortunately, Zhao Xiaowu was not in life-threatening danger; he only had several fractures.
His parents arrived at the hospital shortly after hearing the news.
They said that Zhao Xiaowu did not want to attend Vocational School and had been forced to go.
Zhao Xiaowu insisted that he jumped because he was lured by a woman in red at night, but his parents did not believe him at all.
However, I understood what had happened, and thankfully, we all survived.
Since that incident, the school required us to move out of that dormitory building, and it remained empty until my graduation.
