Chapter Forty: An Easterners
Strucker's men must have already begun their assault on the Mutant School. Bai Luo saw the beams of several armed helicopters piercing through the sky and into the Mutant School. Even from a distance, he could hear the roar of the helicopters, but there was surprisingly little gunfire—Strucker intended to capture all the mutants here alive.

At that moment, a warrior took advantage of Logan's distraction and lunged at him from behind. Just as Logan seemed unable to react, the warrior's gun suddenly turned and struck him in the face.
The warrior let out a horrific scream and collapsed to the ground.
Logan regained his composure and glanced toward another room.
A woman was stepping out of the shadows, a tall beauty with a somewhat sickly pale complexion. Yet her expression and gaze exuded an undeniable queenly aura. This striking combination of contrasting qualities gave her an astonishing beauty, but what drew the most attention was her hair, which shone like fire—no, it was a deep green color.
Logan looked at her and took a deep breath. "Lorna—follow the others through the safe passage and evacuate immediately."
The green-haired girl was Lorna Dane, daughter of Magneto, who also possessed the ability to manipulate magnetic fields. Her presence here at this moment was likely due to Bai Luo's earlier persuasion—it seemed Magneto had indeed found his daughter. For Magneto, the only place where he could safely leave his daughter would be with his old friend Charles.
"I can help you," Lorna said.
"Listen to me, now... go. If you can find others, help them evacuate together, okay?" Logan urged.
Lorna bit her bright red lip but ultimately turned away and ran without looking back.
Logan then turned around and let out a beast-like howl as his Adamantium Wolf Claw extended, charging directly at the warriors surging toward him once again.
As Lorna Dane ran, the flames outside and the light from helicopters illuminated every corner of the Mutant School. At that moment, she saw a group of people rushing out ahead. Startled, she quickly raised her palm, green light swirling around her as iron objects nearby began to tremble uneasily.
However, she soon relaxed when she recognized that it was Rascal and his group emerging. They were equally surprised to see Lorna, but before they could exchange words, Rascal's expression changed as he pointed out the window.
Lorna turned her head and was met with a scene that made her pale.
A helicopter, engulfed in flames, was hurtling toward them at high speed.
Lorna quickly raised her arm, intending to use her powers to intercept it, but a voice came faster than she could react.
Everyone only saw a shadow flash by like lightning, striking the helicopter from the side and forcefully knocking the flaming ball away.
"Was that Logan?" Rascal asked.
Beside her, her boyfriend Iceman Sean Ashmore frowned and said, "No, it's not him. It's someone else, an Easterner!"
"Easterner?" Lorna echoed, her brow furrowed as if she had just realized something.
