Chapter 90: Alyssa's Purpose
Silent Ridge had never been so bright.
Bai Luo looked at her cheap older sister, observing the worried and tense expression on her face. She felt fear in this bizarre world.

Bai Luo turned to look at Bai Chu, across a vast expanse of white light: "Hide and wait for me. Stay alive. No matter where you are, I will find you—

Bai Chu was momentarily stunned, staring in disbelief at the person so close before him.
At that very moment, the world around Bai Luo faded away like a receding tide, bright light replaced by the dark of night. The surroundings of Silent Ridge transformed into a deep forest in an instant, with a gentle breeze that brought an unexpected freshness.
At this moment, behind Bai Luo stood the hospital he and Captain America had seen earlier.
Everything was just as it had been when he first arrived, as if he had never stepped into the hospital at all.
But then, a voice rang out beside him: "She is still alive."
Bai Luo turned to see Alyssa standing next to him.
Alyssa wore a deep purple dress, her black hair slightly disheveled. Her eyes were completely dark, with traces of blood tears streaming from the corners. "Then why are you doing this?" Bai Luo asked, "Just to let me have a brief meeting with my unfortunate sister?"
Bai Luo quickly accepted the idea of time travel; after all, this was Silent Ridge, where twisted timelines were the norm.
"Because I need your help," Alyssa replied, slightly lifting her head. "My world has been taken away, and your sister has been taken away as well. In this regard, we share a common goal.
"I want to reclaim my world, and you want to find your sister. I can see that she is very important to you, just as you are to her. This is one of the reasons I am willing to trust you.
"I believe that love truly exists in this world—between family members and lovers. It never lies and is worth believing in."
This was indeed the style of Silent Ridge. Although the films and games in the Silent Ridge series primarily revolve around horror, sadness, and coldness, what they ultimately express are deeply moving themes—whether it be love or an individual's redemption. Even in the darkest hearts, there is a glimmer of light.
Alyssa paused for a moment before continuing, "I need a friend, and I can feel that we share some common traits.
"And most importantly, as I become separated from Silent Ridge, my powers are gradually weakening. I cannot remain outside of Silent Ridge for long because the distorted version of Silent Ridge that you see right now exists based on my presence. I cannot leave it, nor can it leave me.
"Silent Ridge has long been taken away, along with Bai Chu; it no longer exists in this world. The hospital behind you is merely a remnant that I am struggling to maintain.
"Bai Chu arrived here nine years ago because her mutant abilities allowed her to sense your presence—time in Silent Ridge may be coherent, but its past, present, and future are all quite vague. You came here nine years later but were sensed by Bai Chu nine years ago when she was searching for you everywhere.
"In other words, if you 'exist' in Silent Ridge, you can find traces of yourself in any timeline within Silent Ridge.

Her parents passed away early; she took on the entire family at ten years old, working odd jobs while being mocked by others at school.
