Chapter Ninety-Two: This is a Sad Story 0

Dark Alessa was quite efficient. After Bai Luo agreed to the alliance, she said, "Alright, I'll return your people to you, and what about those yellow paper talismans? Do you still want them?" 0

Bai Luo replied, "I want the people back; consider the talismans a gift for our meeting." 0

At that moment, Alyssa vanished right before Bai Luo's eyes, leaving him alone in the dark forest, feeling the gentle evening breeze. 0

On this trip to Silent Ridge, he had failed to find Bai Luo but unexpectedly gained an ally, which was certainly something Bai Luo had not anticipated. 0

However, at this very moment, Bai Luo was not thinking about that. 0

He was pondering Dark Alessa's final reminder. 0

—Were the twenty years he spent in a coma truly a coincidence, or was someone secretly orchestrating events? What role did Shan Village Sadako play in all of this? 0

Bai Luo had indeed harbored doubts. 0

Twenty years is not just a simple number in a person's life; it signifies too many experiences and possibilities. 0

Yet this matter was too straightforward, so simple that it was hard to detect any abnormalities. If there were indeed some hidden truths that Bai Luo was unaware of, then Shan Village Sadako would have known by now. 0

More likely, even Sadako herself might not be aware of the intricacies involved. She believed her memories had caused Bai Luo to lose twenty years of his life. This vengeful spirit even displayed a rare sense of apology that aligned with her character. 0

But if someone had deliberately caused him to be absent from this era for twenty years... then who could that person be? 0

Is it the same group that targeted Silent Ridge? Or is the Main God secretly manipulating things behind the scenes? 0

A breeze swept in from the far end of the world, rustling through the dark forest. 0

Since the New York Incident caused by Hulk, the entire trajectory of the world has been changing. 0

Moreover, without Dark Alessa's reminder, Bai Luo had already sensed something unusual. 0

In this world, it seems there is a force—or certain individuals or factions—who have set their sights on Bai Luo, this traveler, and Alyssa, beings not native to the Marvel Comics universe. 0

They are acting cautiously, trying to make moves without being detected. 0

The amnesiac Sadako and Mizumura Memeko, the fragmented Silent Ridge, and even the twenty years lost by Bai Luo… this cannot all be mere coincidence. 0

Similarly, Bai Luo began to entertain other thoughts. Since this world has so many "monsters," why not form an alliance? Something like the Multiverse Huluwa Alliance, specifically to counter that unknown force. As for Captain America and his crew, Bai Luo would still facilitate the formation of the Avengers but wouldn’t pull them into his side. After all, as Bai Luo noted, Captain America and Iron Man are just too conspicuous. If he brought them into his fold, their Multiverse Alliance would be exposed in no time; these Vengeful Spirits might even be called superheroes. 0

Of course, for Bai Luo, his plan merely shifted from being a "couch potato in a superhero alliance" to being a "couch potato in an alliance with other worlds and superheroes." 0

But Bai Luo was not in a hurry. No matter who was lurking in the shadows, if they wanted to deal with him, there would always be a moment when they would slip up. 0

Dark Alessa soon returned Captain America and his team. Steve Rogers dropped down from above Bai Luo's head in a running posture, crashing into the muddy ground of the forest with a thud—Bai Luo guessed that this guy was probably running on the second floor of a hospital when Alyssa teleported him out. 0

Sadako and Mizumura Memeko returned to Bai Luo's body in an invisible spirit state. 0

As soon as Sadako came back, she immediately said, "Her power is strong but weakening. It's not that she can't fight; those monstrous entities twisted from humans are nothing to me and Memeko. However… I couldn't find any trace of your sister." 0

Compared to the concise and straightforward Sadako, Mizumura Memeko was quite chatty. "I really couldn't find you. After you disappeared, Sadako went on a rampage, almost tearing that hospital apart. The sister with the smoky eyes was so scared she didn't dare come out. 0

"And that big-chested uncle who came with us? He was useless! He was chased underground by a bunch of ugly nurse sisters. I tried calling him to guide him, but he didn't even dare to answer..." 0

Alyssa clearly hadn't explained to these two that they had already formed an alliance. 0

Listening to the two Vengeful Spirits, Bai Luo couldn't help but rub his chin, thinking that these two were indeed the female ghosts from an unsolvable horror film. Despite their usual chatter, when it came to fighting beings of the same nature, it was hard to say who would come out on top. Of course, both Sadako and Mizumura Memeko were simply Vengeful Spirits, while Alyssa possessed a much more comprehensive form of power, making any comparison between them rather pointless. 0

However, Bai Luo understood why Alyssa hadn't directly clarified the situation with these two Vengeful Spirits. They were causing chaos in Alyssa's hospital, and if she had dared to show herself at that moment, it would have turned into a major battle. Since Bai Luo had already formed an alliance with her, there was no need for her to seek trouble; she simply let him handle the explanation. 0

"Sadako said, 'That girl is very strong. She seemed to be dealing with something before and didn't make a move. I couldn't break through the dimensional barrier she set up. 0

"But since you're fine, that's good." 0

Sadako's concern was genuine. 0

Bai Luo could feel it and smiled, responding in his heart to the two girls: "Alyssa has become our ally. As for the specifics, I'll explain everything to both of you later. Right now..." 0

His gaze shifted to the nearby figure of Captain America. 0

Steve Rogers was sitting on his shield, panting heavily. "Hey, Bai Luo, where have you been? You won't believe it—I think I just fell into an Alternate Dimension. It was like a horror movie! I encountered a strange nurse who asked if I'd seen you, and then a bunch of faceless nurses started chasing me like crazy. The scariest part? There was a girl constantly calling me." 0

Mizumura Memeko: "..." 0

Bai Luo opened his mouth but found himself at a loss for words. 0

"Something terrible must have happened here," Captain America said, his voice heavy with the atmosphere that felt straight out of a horror film. "This place..." 0

"I think I understand what happened here," Bai Luo replied, his brow slightly furrowed and his expression serious. His tone was slow, as if he were carefully choosing his words. "This is a cursed land, filled with death and sorrow. Long ago, there was a girl named Red Hood in this hospital..." 0

It was clear to everyone that Bai Luo was about to spin a serious tale. 0

Holding the key that Alyssa had given him, Bai Luo felt that, in a sense, this place had become his rear base. He needed to find a way to make it unremarkable, to fade it from public attention. 0

Thus, he crafted a long and sorrowful story, summarizing the so-called tragic past and the threats it posed in the present. He candidly acknowledged the limitations of this threat—if he could just keep others from entering and seal off the area, that would be enough. It was unlikely anyone would dare to completely cleanse such a place. Moreover, even now, S.H.I.E.L.D. had no good way to handle this multi-layered hospital controlled by Alyssa. 0

And Captain America was clearly the first one to fall for Bai Luo's ruse. 0

The deception began right beside him. 0
