Chapter Ninety-Seven: Loki's Plan 0

Thor Odinson was furious. 0

He was truly enraged. 0

As the son of Odin, the All-Father, he had been ambushed and knocked out by a mere mortal, which was an utter disgrace. 0

Yet, with his extraordinary physical prowess, he regained consciousness in a remarkably short time. However, this awakening held little significance, as he still faced the same humiliating outcome of being knocked out. 0

The only difference this time was that he had seen the face of his assailant and understood what had rendered him unconscious. 0

But upon realizing what had knocked him out, the God of Thunder became even angrier. 0

For what had struck him down was a kitchen utensil as black as coal. 0

Who was he? He was Thor, the son of Odin, the God of Gods, the future ruler of Asgard, beloved by his people... 0

And now, he had been knocked out by a mortal wielding a kitchen tool. 0

This was undoubtedly a tremendous humiliation for Thor. 0

Unfortunately, it seemed he could not take revenge just yet. 0

When he finally awoke—no, when he regained consciousness—he found himself under soft confinement in a sealed chamber. In the two hours since his awakening, the only thing that had come through the window was a plate of slimy, dark green "food." Odin would have considered this another form of humiliation; however, Thor soon found himself too hungry to resist and devoured every last bit. 0

To his surprise, this substance felt akin to some sort of stimulant. Though Odin had stripped him of his powers, after consuming it, Thor felt an overwhelming surge of strength as if he had regained his divine abilities. 0

However, what he could not do was break through the hard door and walls of his cell. The adrenaline-like effect quickly faded with the passage of time. Thor found himself stuck in his prison, patiently waiting for the one who had knocked him down with a kitchen utensil to show up, at least to understand their purpose. 0

Thor could only sulk in the corner, occasionally shouting, "I am the Son of Odin!" Unfortunately, in Dark Alessa's domain, there were many creatures that could breathe, but few who could understand what Thor was saying, let alone respond. 0

However, Thor's roar did receive a response. After countless times of bellowing "I am the Son of Odin," a voice finally echoed from the adjacent room. 0

It was Jane Foster's voice: "Is... is someone there?" 0

Upon hearing those words, Thor's eyes lit up like light bulbs. 0

Logically speaking, given the thickness and soundproofing of the hospital walls, neither Jane nor Thor should have been able to hear each other. Thus, this unfolding scene was clearly a benefit from Bai Luo. 0

As a prison romance seemed poised to unfold, Dark Alessa frowned in another corner of the hospital. 0

The girl dressed in deep purple, exuding an otherworldly beauty, was squatting on the ground, glaring at Mjolnir before her. 0

The hammer was stubbornly "stuck" to the floor; no matter how hard she tried, her face turning red from exertion, she couldn't lift it. 0

... 0

Meanwhile, at Asgard. 0

Loki was quietly sneaking into Odin's Vault in search of the Ancient Winter Coffin. As Odin's second son, this task was not particularly difficult for him. 0

The Ancient Winter Coffin resembled the Cosmic Cube in some ways; both were mysterious blue cubes. However, while the Cosmic Cube had sharp edges, the Ancient Winter Coffin had a slightly rounded structure. Its outer layer was adorned with some metallic embellishments that encased it. Not far away, one could feel the chilling aura emanating from within. 0

According to the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, the Ancient Winter Coffin once plunged the Earth into a long ice age, demonstrating its immense power. 0

However, Loki did not intend to steal it; he simply walked in and placed his hand near this treasure of the Frost Giant clan to test his bloodline. 0

If he were Asgardian, touching this object would undoubtedly have an effect on him. 0

Yet, Loki was destined for disappointment. As he extended his hands and cautiously cradled the icy blue ancient coffin, he felt no chill or discomfort emanating from it. In fact, the skin on his arms began to turn a shade of blue where he touched the ancient coffin. 0

What this meant was all too clear. 0

Loki's face turned pale, shock filling his eyes. 0

At that moment, a commanding voice echoed through the space: "Put it down!" 0

Loki's hand trembled, and the Ancient Winter Coffin fell back into place. He looked up to see the aged Odin standing on a nearby staircase, his gaze piercing. Though he had only one eye, it seemed to hold immeasurable authority. 0

In days past, Loki would have dared not speak under such a gaze, but now his emotions surged violently as he fixed his stare on Odin and hissed, "Who am I really?" 0

What followed was a classic exchange of "who is your true father," as Odin revealed Loki's origins as an adopted child. Then… Loki collapsed right there in his own treasury, succumbing to Odin's Sleep and falling unconscious. 0

Startled, Loki quickly summoned guards to properly attend to his father. 0

Then it struck him—his opportunity had arrived. 0

With Thor exiled to Earth and Odin in Odin's Sleep, who could steer Asgard? Who could take charge at this crucial moment? 0

Who else but him, Loki? 0

Loki held his father’s unconscious body, watching the guards rush over in a panic. A cold smile flickered in his eyes. 0

Thor had been kidnapped on Earth? 0

He was now just a mortal, his power as the God of Thunder long gone. 0

So… how could he make the kidnappers pay? 0

Should he clearly tell them that he would never hand over the life card and the Ancient Winter Coffin? 0

Or should he send a group to rescue him? Those foolishly loyal to Thor would undoubtedly be the best choice… That Earthling might have some skills, but after all, he was just a mortal. His strength was likely insufficient to defeat this group of Asgardian warriors. Therefore, he would need a guarantee that the Earthling could survive after being defeated and humiliated by the Asgardians, even to the point of being enraged enough to carry out the ransom, completely and utterly killing Thor. 0

In that case, Loki would simply be a victim who had failed to rescue his brother. 0
