Chapter One Hundred and Two: Completely Bewildered Loki 0

Bai Luo had a certain understanding of Loki's abilities and possible tactics. How could Bai Luo not be on guard against someone who would choose to outsmart him even if he had the brute strength to confront him directly? 0

Especially knowing that the other party harbored ulterior motives. 0

However, Bai Luo truly had little to worry about. The methods of Loki, such as mind illusions and hypnosis, were no match for the spirits residing within Bai Luo—Mizumura Memeko and Shan Village Sadako. These two sisters, along with Loli, though not officially recognized as deities, were formidable figures among the Vengeful Spirits. Their mastery of illusions was certainly on par with Loki's; when it came to playing tricks, these two were the real deal—they were ghosts, after all. 0

Thus, the moment Loki made his move, both of them—a sister and a Loli—struck back in an instant. 0

The illusion before Bai Luo appeared for just a moment before vanishing, and the drowsiness that had threatened to overtake him disappeared like lightning. In contrast, Loki let out a scream and stumbled backward, his already pale face turning even paler for reasons unknown. 0

He was being haunted. 0

Although Loki was a Norse Deity, the concept of gods in Western mythology was entirely different from that in Eastern traditions. In the East, demons and spirits were essential elements of mythological tales; regardless of the god involved, dealing with these entities was a given. But in European mythology... 0

Loki was uncertain about what exactly he was facing, but seeing Bai Luo's calm demeanor made him realize that he had definitely been outmaneuvered. 0

Then he noticed that this person before him—the yellow-skinned Easterner—had flipped his hand and produced a Frying Pan. 0

At that moment, Loki finally lost his composure. 0

As he retreated, he let out a strange shout. Just then, from the other side of the hill came a series of sounds—numerous blue-skinned, red-eyed Ice Giants shouted chaotic slogans as they rushed forward. 0

Clearly, these were the reinforcements that Loki had summoned. Of course, it was unlikely that the Ice Giants would assist Loki without some form of compensation. 0

The most likely scenario was that Loki, while promising the Ancient Winter Coffin to Bai Luo, also made a similar promise to the Ice Giants. This was what led to the appearance of a hundred-strong army of Ice Giants here. 0

What these Ice Giants probably did not know was that Loki had a plan to use the Ancient Winter Coffin to completely destroy Jotunheim, in order to prove himself to his father Odin and earn his praise and recognition. 0

Although he had come to realize that he belonged to the Ice Giant Clan, he still hoped to be recognized as an Asgardian, seeking Odin's approval. 0

Of course, although he had once strayed from this path, he ultimately stood firmly alongside Thor. Loki was not a good person in the conventional sense, nor was he a bad person. 0

In the Marvel universe, the relationship between Thor and Loki has always been the most delicate. 0

However, at this moment and in this place, Loki undoubtedly counted as a true villain. 0

He had set a trap for Bai Luo; when his own attack failed, he retreated like lightning, leaving the battlefield to the warriors of the Ice Giants. 0

Laufey had been cautious and did not come in person; instead, he sent a hundred or so blue-skinned, pointy-eared Ice Giant warriors who rushed in to surround Bai Luo. 0

But as they made their appearance, several helicopters shone their lights from the direction of Old Bridge Town. A phone call from Mizumura Memeko had startled Coulson awake from his sleep, prompting him to dispatch reinforcements immediately! 0

At this moment, Bai Luo quietly put away his Frying Pan and the crowbar he had just prepared to confront Loki. He knew that if he used these two items against the Ice Giants, they would be frozen and shattered within two minutes. 0

The only weapon he could rely on seemed to be the Reincarnator's Flying Sword. 0

This was Bai Luo's first time using that Flying Sword in battle. The length of the Flying Sword was no different from an ordinary longsword; it was just that intricate runes were engraved on both the blade and hilt. Some of these runes even hinted at their meanings—proof that Bai Luo's investment in beginner books with his points had not been in vain. 0

However, the Flying Sword itself was not golden; it could only soar and shine like gold when infused with Daoist power. 0

Yet for now, Bai Luo was unable to reach that level. 0

Talisman, in the eyes of many, is seen as a sideline practice within Daoist teachings, even as something auxiliary. However, Talisman fundamentally derives from runes, representing a transformation of magic and its application in reality. Its functions extend far beyond merely sketching paper talismans with a Talisman Pen to use as attacks; its advanced applications are numerous, making it anything but auxiliary. In the realm of Daoist arts, it stands out as a significant path. 0

Although Bai Luo could not yet unleash the full power of the Sword of Dao he had acquired, this sword was indeed no ordinary item. The attributes of the Ice Giant Clan could not affect the Sword of Dao. 0

Bai Luo himself was empowered by various Talismans, moving like lightning and possessing immense strength. He bore an Iron Body Talisman, and despite the ferocity of the Ice Giant Clan warriors who were prepared to strike early, they found themselves utterly unable to withstand Bai Luo. By the time the reinforcements led by Phil Coulson from S.H.I.E.L.D. arrived, the Ice Giants had lost any chance of survival and were left as lambs to be slaughtered. 0

Agent Phil Coulson sat in the helicopter, observing the blue-skinned individuals illuminated by lights on the ground. Rubbing his thinning hair, he mused, "Where did these blue-skinned monkeys come from? Are they looking for a fight?" 0

Meanwhile, at the edge of the battlefield, Loki had been feeling anxious for quite some time. This anxiety stemmed from two aspects: on one hand, he was genuinely worried because he hadn’t anticipated that Bai Luo could ignore his “methods” and remain unaffected by his magic. Of course, he was unaware of the presence of Shan Village Sadako and Mizumura Memeko; on the other hand, he hadn’t expected Earth's military personnel to be so highly trained that they would arrive almost immediately. This was also due to his ignorance of Bai Luo's ability to make calls worldwide through Mizumura Memeko’s Ghost Call; no matter how deeply one slept, they would be startled awake in moments. 0

The second source of his anxiety was thanks to Sadako and Mizumura Memeko. The two had directly entered Loki's body through their recent contact and projected immense feelings of panic onto him through their abilities. This panic felt untraceable; cold sweat dripped down inexplicably, his heart raced without reason, and he felt restless and uneasy. 0

Finally, unable to withstand this dual panic any longer while witnessing the complete collapse of the Ice Giant army, Loki thought it best to abandon Thor and quickly called for assistance from the newly appointed guardian of the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard to take him back. 0
