Chapter One Hundred and Four: Deception 0

Thor was, in every sense of the word, a good person. 0

He was kind, had a strong sense of justice, loved the common people, cherished life, and resisted evil... 0

His lengthy prison term had led Thor to reflect on himself, especially after his conversations with a woman named Jane. These discussions not only opened his eyes to a world he had never visited but also provided him with a new understanding of whether his past actions were right or wrong. 0

Now, as Bai Luo arrived, so many innocent humans had died because of him, which filled Thor with guilt. He felt that Bai Luo had a point; after all, it was abrupt for him to come here. Although it was his father Odin who had banished him to Earth, they had not sought the permission of the Earthlings before doing so. Wasn't that disregarding their feelings? 0

Earth was also one of the Nine Realms and, in a sense, existed equally alongside Asgard. Given their actions, it was no wonder that people reacted so violently—Thor had even been knocked unconscious by kitchenware. Moreover, Asgard had brought unnecessary casualties to innocent civilians in this world, which was indeed a grave sin. 0

The more Thor thought about it, the more he felt that he had no justification for his actions. It almost felt as if he were taking advantage of being an Asgardian to do as he pleased. Reflecting on his past life, he realized that he had done this many times before without ever truly suffering consequences or having the opportunity to be imprisoned and reflect on his actions by complete strangers. 0

So... 0

Thor let out a long sigh and said, "It is my fault..." 0

In front of him, Bai Luo revealed a devilish smile. 0

Thor... clearly understood the situation now. 0

Perhaps this God of Thunder did not realize that in just this short moment, his mindset had undergone a complete transformation—from furious at Bai Luo for knocking him out with kitchenware to feeling guilty and uncertain about himself. 0

Of course, this was also related to the fact that aside from knocking him out, Bai Luo hadn’t done anything else. 0

This guy was indeed a good person and very easy to manipulate. 0

If Loki were here, he would probably say, "Who would believe your nonsense?" 0

But unfortunately for them, present here was our kind-hearted, beautiful, golden-haired God of Thunder. 0

His cluelessness was on par with the Hulk. 0

Coming from the other side of the stars, Thor and the bunch of lunatics from the Guardians of the Galaxy were still not on the same level. 0

Thinking of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Bai Luo couldn't help but recall Peter Quill. He was genuinely looking forward to seeing that guy again, wondering if Star-Lord would remember him. 0

Since Thor had already agreed to the plan, Bai Luo didn't hesitate. He said directly, "Just now, your Asgardians sent a group of blue-skinned, red-eyed creatures to attack this town. Fortunately, our troops reacted quickly and managed to intercept them... To be honest, we really can't keep you locked up any longer. So, I'll let you go now, but about your hammer..." 0

Upon hearing Bai Luo's words, Thor's attention was not on his potential release but rather on a piece of information that Bai Luo had revealed: "Wait a minute, what? Blue skin? Red eyes? We don't have anyone like that in Asgard. By those characteristics, they should be Ice Giants. Wait... why are they here?" 0

"What Ice Giants?" Bai Luo feigned confusion perfectly, as if he had suddenly forgotten that he had intentionally revealed information about the Ice Giants. 0

Seeing Bai Luo's expression, Thor became slightly anxious. He quickly explained the situation in Asgard and the issue with their races, then elaborated on the Ice Giants from Jotunheim. 0

To be honest, as a muscular warrior, Thor's storytelling ability wasn't very strong. If Bai Luo hadn't already known about Asgard and Jotunheim's Ice Giants, Thor's explanation might have left him even more confused. 0

But Bai Luo couldn't ask for more from Thor. 0

He pondered for a moment and said, "So, these second attackers aren't your Asgardians?" 0

Thor nodded. "Definitely not. I attacked Jotunheim before; they probably heard about me being stripped of my powers by Father and ending up on Earth. They came for revenge." 0

Bai Luo furrowed his brow dramatically, appearing deep in thought. "Wait a minute. Since that's the case, why is there one among these Ice Giants who claims to be the King of the Gods of Asgard named Loki and demands that we hand you over?" 0

Thor replied, "That's impossible! You must be mistaken; Loki is my brother. He..." 0

Bai Luo seized the opportunity to play along. "I guessed as much. Their skin colors are different. While I don't think you guys would have racial discrimination issues, I also believe Loki and those Ice Giants shouldn't be in cahoots. After all, I heard he was planning to use an Ancient Winter Coffin to destroy Jotunheim's Ice Giants." 0

Though Bai Luo's words seemed casual, they were actually quite intentional and pointed. 0

Sure enough, Thor's expression changed immediately. "How could that be? We can't let him do that!" 0

Clearly, after wanting to single-handedly wipe out all the Ice Giants for so long, Thor had undergone a change in mindset and realized that this was a grave mistake for a god to make. 0

But then Thor thought of something else: "Impossible, Father would never allow him to do that. Wait a minute, did you just say Loki referred to himself as the King of the Gods of Asgard?" 0

Bai Luo replied, "Yes, what's wrong?" 0

Thor's expression changed. "My father Odin is the King of the Gods. How could he possibly take my father's throne? Could it be..." 0

Bai Luo said suspiciously, "I heard from Loki that Odin seems to have entered some kind of Odin's Sleep. I'm not really sure..." 0

While Bai Luo was unclear, Thor understood perfectly. He firmly stated, "It must be Odin's Sleep. That must be it! Father has fallen into a deep slumber, and Loki has taken the throne. Therefore, he wants to destroy Jotunheim and wipe out the Ice Giant race. No, I must stop him." 0

Thor's conclusion was drawn entirely under Bai Luo's guidance and hints. He was completely unaware that many of his conclusions had been influenced by Bai Luo and believed wholeheartedly that they were his own deductions. 0

This god of thunder had no idea that he had been led astray by Bai Luo in such an inexplicable manner. 0
