Chapter One Hundred and Eighteen: The Dual-Wielding Samurai
Regardless of how Elena Landon from Planet Daily appeared in Berlin, the situation on the ground was not as smooth as she had suggested.
In an instant, the robot descended and effortlessly knocked Loki to the ground. It then crashed heavily onto the surface, and from a distance, one could see numerous tiny objects shooting out from its body. These objects swirled around it like fireflies, flickering slightly before dispersing into the surroundings.
Although Bai Luo couldn't clearly see what they were, he speculated that they were likely some kind of reconnaissance devices—because far away, Manu, who was in the aircraft, took out a tablet. The small screen on the tablet was aimed at a concealed camera, and Bai Luo could clearly see that the image on it had instantly split into several screens.
Meanwhile, the robot was slowly approaching Loki, who lay not far away.
It raised its right hand, equipped with some sort of laser weapon, aiming it at Loki on the ground. In a cold, emotionless synthetic voice, it commanded, “Surrender the scepter and Cosmic Cube. Crawl on the ground and abandon all resistance, or I will proceed with your humane annihilation.”
Loki appeared flustered by such a statement, seemingly frightened. However, if Bai Luo were present, he would undoubtedly notice that there was a genuine glimmer of amusement deep within Loki's eyes.
He retreated while his body trembled slightly.
It was evident that Loki, the son adopted by Odin, seemed genuinely panicked and unsure of what to do.
As he backed away, the "iron-skinned" robot advanced step by step without yielding an inch. The tip of its laser weapon slowly began to emit a terrifying glow—anyone could tell that if Loki did not cooperate soon, this thing might take action.
Thus… Loki gritted his teeth; his expression twisted for a moment before he finally raised his hand to prepare to surrender the Cosmic Cube.
The humiliation he felt was palpable.
Just as he made this decision, a voice slowly echoed from a corner nearby: “You… fool. You’re as timid as a mouse. Do you even know how you’ve managed to become a deity in this world—or are you just riding on your title?”
With this remark, a tall figure stepped out from the shadows. Dressed in an outfit that clashed with this era—a Japanese Samurai attire—he held a long-handled katana in one hand and had another hanging at his waist. He wore an expression reminiscent of a carefree character from a Japanese anime who thought everyone else was beneath him and simply wanted to stretch his muscles as he approached with his sword dragging behind him.
To be honest, due to the distance of the camera angle, Bai Luo couldn’t see Loki’s face or discern their interaction. However, when this figure appeared, Bai Luo instantly became alert.
This person was clearly neither Chitauri nor some powerful being raised by Thanos; his attire paired with those two katanas indicated… he was a genuine Reincarnator.
The Hatsune Victory Team's Reincarnator.
Japanese.
Especially seeing the guy's punchable expression, Bai Luo couldn't help but think, "Someone should quickly take down that Japanese guy."
When this Japanese figure wielding a long-handled Katana appeared, the nearby robot instantly turned its head, clearly on high alert at the sight of this presence. Meanwhile, the members of the "Buddha Light" team in their distant aircraft were also on high alert, fixated on the feed displayed on their screens.
They only knew the name of their opposing team's Reincarnator, but had no other information.
In the world of Reincarnators, knowing the identity of an opponent's Main God, their abilities, and powerful exchange items was crucial intelligence.
Thus, they were eager to see what kind of character this Reincarnator was.
Back in Berlin, as Loki observed the standoff between the two robots and the human, he subtly shifted his gaze and quietly activated his staff and Cosmic Cube.
On the other side, the young Japanese man with the long-handled Katana made the first move.
His figure shot up from where he stood like a shadow, appearing in front of the robot in an instant, raising his hand for a lightning-fast strike.
The robot immediately opened fire, but the young man effortlessly dodged while advancing. Clearly, it couldn't match his agility. Faced with that thunderous slash, it had only one defensive option.
It raised its arm to block.
However, that narrow and sharp Katana did not strike directly against the robot's metallic arm; instead, it was intercepted mid-swing by a layer of light blue energy shield.
Yet, the force behind that strike was astonishing. The pale blue energy shield held for less than two seconds before it shattered.
At that very moment, the robot's arm armor facing the sword-wielding warrior suddenly activated, releasing a large amount of smoke and flares that enveloped both figures, forcing them back. Following this, numerous propulsion devices behind the robot ignited simultaneously, clearly intending to take off and create distance.
However...
In that instant when smoke and flares erupted, while the young man with the Katana did retreat, it was not merely a retreat.
Amidst the rising smoke and the interference of flares, his figure became blurred, yet this only accentuated the dreamlike quality of his next movements.
He swiftly stepped back half a pace, then planted one foot firmly on the ground while pivoting with lightning speed. At the same time, he reached behind him to draw another knife, executing a dreamlike maneuver as he glided past the robot that was preparing to take off and create distance, his movements fluid and graceful.
However, this entire display was merely a prelude to his strike.
It was an astonishing slash, completed in the instant he spun past.
The smoke obscured everyone's vision, yet the robot failed to ascend as intended. When the smoke cleared, the member of the Hatsune Victory Squad known as the Reincarnator had already vanished, while the robot lay cleaved in two, utterly destroyed. The cut was smooth, showcasing the ferocity and precision of that strike.
Perhaps this was what they referred to as "the strong must be a bit eccentric."
At that very moment, far from here, the aircraft belonging to the Reincarnator and Nick was also under attack.
