Chapter 122: Who Let the Dog Out?
The owner of Bloodline-1000, the Reincarnator, stunned everyone as soon as he appeared. In the distant Aircraft Carrier, Nick Fury's eyes flickered with interest, but his first thought was not how to combat this individual; rather, he wanted to acquire the Liquid Metal technology for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s armed forces.
Tony Stark and Bai Luo seemed to think of a way to deal with the Liquid Metal person at the same time. They both looked towards Lorna, and it was Tony who spoke first: "Lorna... do you have a way to handle this guy?"
Lorna nodded, her hands beginning to shimmer with a dark green light reminiscent of the Aurora. "I should be able to."
As Magneto's daughter, she possessed the ability to manipulate magnetic fields, making her a natural counter to this Reincarnator who had transformed his body into metal.
However, the group of Reincarnators could not have anticipated that in this Marvel world of the Avengers, there would be Magneto's daughter boldly standing among them.
Yet, Lorna did not act immediately. At that moment, their S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft's communication channel was connected; another Reincarnator on a different plane was attempting to contact them.
As Vikas began speaking, it was clear they recognized this Reincarnator's Bloodline as Terminator-1000. He briefly described its characteristics and key points, saving Bai Luo from having to explain everything to the Avengers. After the concise introduction of their enemy, Vikas turned serious and said, "Ms. Lorna, you are Magneto's daughter and possess the ability to control Earth's magnetic field. We need your help. We have a way to kill this Liquid Metal man; we just need you to suppress it while we make it wish it were dead."
Tony exchanged glances with Bai Luo before Tony spoke up again. "What’s your plan?"
"Just wait a moment, and you'll see," replied not Vikas but another male member of their Reincarnator team named Tiger Lee, a Thai man whose voice was deep and filled with arrogance and confidence.
At that moment, the Avengers ceased their discussions; clearly, this was not the time for tactical debates. Since the Reincarnators were willing to lend their strength, it was more than welcome for Tony and his team. There was no reason to refuse. The pilot of their aircraft opened the hatch, and Tony, Captain America, and Natasha elegantly jumped out in their own styles, landing steadily on the already chaotic ground of Nishiden River District. They surrounded Terminator-1000 from three directions as a tactical distraction. However, Natasha's intentions seemed different; after a quick advance, she vanished from everyone's sight without a trace.
Bai Luo speculated that Nick might have assigned her another task. The strength of Tony, Captain America, Lorna, and even Bai Luo on the front lines was undoubtedly unquestionable. However, for covert missions, Natasha, a "normal" person without superpowers hailing from the Russian Red Room, was the best candidate. The commotion created by Tony and the others on the battlefield served as the perfect cover for Black Widow.
Bai Luo and Lorna remained in their positions. From their distance, Lorna could exert her influence over the Liquid Metal Terminator. Recklessly descending could make them targets for other Reincarnators trying to divert attention.
Bai Luo stayed behind to keep an eye on Lorna—once the Reincarnators discovered Lorna's presence and her effect on the Liquid Metal Terminator, it would be nearly impossible for them not to attack.
It was worth mentioning that in a corner of the aircraft, Banner sat in his original spot, clearly both innocent and uneasy.
At the same time Tony and the others landed, another figure descended rapidly from a different S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft.
This was none other than Tiger Lee, who had just boasted boldly over the communication channel.
As he plummeted, his body underwent a tremendous transformation.
Tiger Lee's physique began to inflate like a balloon, growing and changing violently in mid-air. In an instant, he transformed into a massive pharaoh-like Dog-headed Man clad in armor, towering over fifteen meters tall. In his hand appeared an enormous battle axe that stood upright on the ground as he crashed down onto the devastated Nishiden River District. Not only that, but as he landed, a massive deep purple magic circle spread out beneath him. A layer of swirling terrifying energy enveloped his form, making him resemble Anubis descending from above, carrying the wrath of a pharaoh with boundless might.
Seeing such a colossal figure descend, both Tony and Steve changed color; they hadn't expected this group of Reincarnators to unleash such power right away.
Meanwhile, aboard another S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft, Bai Luo was left dumbfounded.
While others might not recognize Tiger Lee's current form, as a traveler himself, Bai Luo certainly could not miss it.
This guy was unmistakably the Dog-headed Man Nerathus from League of Legends, and he had entered the scene in a state ready to unleash his ultimate ability.
Bai Luo rubbed his chin and complained, "Damn it, this is really a Bloodline that can't be exchanged for anything, so they made a league version instead!"
Complaints aside, he couldn't help but feel awed by the sheer presence of the figure before him. A colossal being wielding a giant axe moved across the ground, resembling a deity traversing the earth, far more imposing than Loki and Thor, the genuine gods.
However, the -1000 remained remarkably calm. His teammates were likely hiding nearby, and he knew very well that despite the intimidating aura of this Dog-headed Man, he was just another Reincarnator—nothing to be afraid of.
But soon enough, this Liquid Metal Bloodline Reincarnator lost his composure.
Just as he attempted to move, he suddenly realized that his body was no longer under his control.
An invisible force seemed to bind him tightly, even pulling his body upward from the ground. Instead of moving away from the Dog-headed Man, he was being drawn directly toward him.
Meanwhile, Tiger Lee, the Reincarnator of the Buddha Light Team who had transformed into the desert god Nerathus, understood that Lorna was making her move. A cold smile spread across his dog-like face as he raised his Battle Axe high. It shimmered with light as a thunderous strike came roaring down!
