Tribal Chief Gru was a middle-aged male, described by Muen as a lion beastman. Standing beside him was the tribe's elder shaman, Henda, an elderly beastman. Together, they exuded an imposing presence.
"Anan, welcome to our tribe," Gru said, trying to make his tone warm and approachable. "If you need help in the future, feel free to come to us."
"Thank you for your kindness!" Anyuan replied politely.
"Henda," Gru turned to the shaman and continued, "I hear that Muen is now your Beastman?"
"Yes," Anyuan answered without hesitation.
Throughout their journey, whenever Muen introduced himself, he referred to Anyuan as his female, and she did not dispute their relationship, tacitly accepting it.
Upon hearing Anyuan's affirmative response, Muen's eyes instantly filled with a joyful smile, his black tail wagging happily as if expressing his inner delight.
However, Gru's next words felt like a bucket of cold water, abruptly pulling Muen from his blissful cloud back to the harsh reality. "There are many excellent males in the tribe; Anan can find a few more males to be her Beastman."
The chief thought to himself that such a beautiful female would surely produce equally attractive offspring. If they could help the tribe breed more outstanding descendants, it would be even better.
Anyuan was taken aback by this statement, her eyes widening in shock as she questioned whether she had misheard. Her expression was a chaotic mix of disbelief and confusion.
"Anan, do you need a cave? We have many empty caves in our tribe."
Muen's tail and body stiffened simultaneously. He knew that the females in the tribe each had their own caves for convenience in living with different Beastmen.
He silently prayed in his heart that Anyuan would not agree. "Thank you, Chief, but no need."
Anyuan politely declined, "I prefer to live with Muen."
Upon hearing this, Muen's tail wagged joyfully again, occasionally glancing at Anyuan, his heart filled with warm affection. He seemed to be immersed in a sweet dream, so much so that he felt a bit dazed when they finally left the Chief's cave.
Once back in Muen's cave, the two began to clean up together.
Just after they finished tidying up, Muen went out to fetch water.
As Anyuan was starting a fire, footsteps approached from outside. It turned out to be Mingyue and another beastman.
Both of them were tall and handsome. Anyuan warmly welcomed them in, offering dried meat and fruits, assuming they had come to see Muen. After greeting them, he went to the kitchen to attend to his own tasks.
Mingyue and Anke's gazes roamed over Anyuan without reservation, secretly thinking: Despite being slender, this Little Female has all the right curves in the right places.
Anke nodded in agreement, pondering: She should be quite capable of bearing children.
However, he keenly noticed that Anyuan bore no beast markings, meaning he and Muen were not officially married yet.
The two beastmen silently competed with each other, both determined to become Anan's first beastman.
As Muen returned with water and reached the entrance of the cave, he saw the two uninvited guests and immediately turned green with anger. "What are you doing here?" he shouted.
Hearing the voice, Anyuan trotted over happily and said with a smile, "Muen, you're back! Your friends are looking for you."
Clearly, he was still unaware that these two had come seeking mates.
