How could an invisible, intangible entity, one that has no physical form, be easily dealt with? The incorporeal entity is recognized as one of the most troublesome categories of entities. I hope it’s not the Gaze, Uncle Zhou murmured, deep in thought.
Zhong Zhi stood on a muddy road in Hu Family Village, frowning as he stared at Zhang Yinlin. "What do you mean by that?"
"It’s nothing much, Captain Zhong," Zhang Yinlin replied. "I just feel it’s too quiet here. I want to take the children back and come another day to see the entity." She scanned the surroundings. "Don’t you think it’s overly quiet? There isn’t a single entity in sight, not even the faintest sound of animals."
Half a minute ago, she had received information from Uncle Zhou about Yelai's arrival. Without pausing to be surprised by how Yelai had gotten information from the Sixth Team, she immediately suggested leaving Hu Family Village to Zhong Zhi. After saying this, she insisted that Captain Zhao lead the way to take the children away, disregarding Zhong Zhi's response entirely.
Isn’t silence normal? Animals have an instinct to avoid danger; the absence of animals indicates that there is an entity nearby. It has always been this way since the Year of the Sequence.
Zhong Zhi blocked Zhang Yinlin's path as she tried to retreat. On the surface, he was advising her with explanations, but internally he was already frowning deeply. "What? Captain Zhong, are you planning to disregard the children's safety?" Zhang Yinlin asked in a low voice.
At her words, Zhong Zhi's gaze sharpened, and he finally spoke in a serious tone: "I never said I would ignore the children's safety. Once this opportunity is gone, it won't come back. I can't always be available to protect you while you observe the Entity. If we don't see it today, I fear the children might miss out."
He said this regardless of what Zhang Yinlin thought and turned to the children. "Kids, Teacher Zhang is going back. What do you say? Do you want to stay or go back?"
"Don't worry, with me, Zhong Zhi, I'll make sure you get home safely."
Rather than arguing with Zhang Yinlin, he preferred to persuade the children. As long as they wanted to stay, it wouldn't be easy for Zhang Yinlin to take them back.
It was well known that when children got restless, it was the most troublesome thing for adults.
"Teacher, can we stay and watch the Entity?"
