"Your Sequence can't possibly be the first, right?"
The First Sequence, as the name suggests, has no physical form. Among all the Sequences that have existed, Yelai is the first to possess its Sequence.
Without waiting for Yelai to respond, Zhang Yinlin, having already opened up, fixed her gaze intently on Yelai's eyes. Suppressing the tumultuous waves of emotion within her, she asked again, "Yelai, your Sequence isn't... Cthulhu, is it?"
When speculating about Yelai's possession of the First Sequence, the first thought that crossed her mind was indeed Cthulhu. After all, if Yelai had access to an Anomalous Entity that granted him his current formidable power, it could only be the one that resurrected him—Cthulhu.
Moreover, nearly all known Anomalous Entities have been attempted to be contacted by humanity in order to obtain a Sequence. Thus, when Zhang Yinlin thought of Yelai possessing the First Sequence, she immediately considered the Anomalous Entity that had established a connection with him; it was likely one of the discovered Anomalous Entities.
At this moment, she looked at Yelai with eyes full of anticipation, her heart racing as each second passed. Could it be? Was Yelai's Sequence truly Cthulhu? That would mean he possessed a divine Anomalous Entity.
It shouldn't be possible... No! It could very well be!
Yelai was resurrected by Cthulhu, and his current abilities were certainly not those of an ordinary Sequence; it was highly likely that he was indeed connected to Cthulhu.
Thinking of all this made Zhang Yinlin's breath quicken. If this were true, Yelai would not only be the First Sequence but also the first to possess a divine Sequence among all Sequences.
At that moment, filled with overwhelming emotions, Zhang Yinlin heard Yelai's voice.
"Yinlin, my Sequence is not Cthulhu."
That simple statement caused Zhang Yinlin's racing heart to come to a sudden halt.
Sigh, she thought, I was indeed too delusional; how could it possibly be a divine Sequence? Her expression fell, turning into one of despondency.
However, before she could calm her emotions, Yelai's voice continued.
"I am indeed a First Sequence, but my Sequence is not the Sequence of the Anomalous Entity you know."
"Anomalous Entity I know? Which one?"
"Do you remember when I resurrected and came to find you?"
"Of course I remember. It has only been two days since that day; my memory is still quite clear. Besides, your resurrection left a deep impression on me."
"Then do you recall what you were doing when I returned?"
"Of course."
Without hesitation, Zhang Yinlin replied, "That day, I remember Xiao Jun and the others were asking me what the most murderous Anomalous Entity was up to that point. I told them it was the Growth-type Anomalous Entity: Fear."
In an instant!
Her words came to an abrupt stop as Zhang Yinlin suddenly looked at Yelai, her beautiful eyes widening in shock.
She saw the smile on Yelai's face.
Zhang Yinlin's previously calmed emotions surged once again. It wasn't until halfway through her response that she realized the implications, her voice unconsciously rising several decibels at that moment.
"The Anomalous Entity that established a connection with you is Fear?!!"
At this moment, even though Yelai did not respond verbally, the smile on her face spoke volumes.
The meaning was clear.
Zhang Yinlin felt a storm brewing in her heart, as if her mind was about to explode.
The Sequence of Yelai is said to be a Growth-type Anomalous Entity that, once it matures, can stand shoulder to shoulder with the God Anomalous Entity of Fear!
