"Captain Wu," Yelai said, still smiling as he refused the offer.
"Captain Wu, I have a way to interrogate Zhong Zhi."
Uh-huh.
Captain Wu wanted to say something more but ultimately opened his mouth and fell silent.
He had watched as Captain Wang and the others interrogated Zhong Zhi, fully aware of the various methods Captain Wang employed. However, Zhong Zhi was stubborn as a dead duck.
He didn't have high hopes for Yelai's ability to interrogate Zhong Zhi without any tools.
Soon after, at Yelai's signal, Zhang Yinlin ushered Captain Wu out of the cell, not wanting him to witness the interrogation methods Yelai would use.
"I'll wait outside. If you need any interrogation tools, just let me know."
Captain Wu was perceptive and promptly left the cell.
The heavy iron door of the cell clanged shut.
At that moment, only Zhong Zhi and Yelai remained in the cell.
"You might as well give up," Yelai said. "I won't tell you anything. Of course, if you return my Eyeballs, I might consider sharing some information."
Zhong Zhi glared at Yelai with a fierce gaze.
Now that he was a prisoner, he could no longer deal with Yelai directly; all he could do was try to trip Yelai up during this interrogation.
Yelai ignored Zhong Zhi's words and walked straight over to where Zhong Zhi was locked on the bed in the cell.
"This will hurt a bit; just bear with it."
Yelai's cryptic words echoed in Zhong Zhi's ears.
Without giving Zhong Zhi a chance to respond, Yelai placed his hand on Zhong Zhi's forehead.
In the next second, Zhong Zhi's pupils dilated in shock as he saw Yelai's lips curl into an eerie smile that sent chills down his spine.
He recognized this as the Sequence Feature. Yelai was casting a Sequence on himself. The deepest fear of humanity is the fear of knowledge. At this moment, Zhong Zhi felt the same way; facing Captain Wang's interrogation, he at least understood what the interrogation tools were and what was to come. But now it was different; he had no idea what Yelai's Sequence was.
However, one thing was certain. Yelai's Sequence was not only of a high Rank, but its level was also significant, an extraordinary Sequence indeed. The Sequence belonged to the Entity's power. The Entity was a strange and indescribable being. To this day, humanity has been unable to fully comprehend the Entity, which remains shrouded in mystery.
Now, as Yelai activated his Sequence against Zhong Zhi, it left Zhong Zhi unable to fathom how he would be interrogated next, with a rising fear of knowledge swelling in his heart. But there was no time to ponder.
When Yelai placed his hand on Zhong Zhi's forehead...
Ah!
A chilling and piercing scream erupted from Zhong Zhi's mouth, echoing through the cell and spreading outward. Captain Wu, just a few steps away from the cell, jumped in shock and turned back to look toward it.
What was that scream? He recognized it as Zhong Zhi's voice from within the cell.
Has Yelai started already? Captain Wu swallowed hard.
Ah!!! No! No!!
No!!!
Ah, don’t come near me!
Inside the cell, it felt like a hellish theater, filled with desperate and haunting cries. The sounds were filled with terror and horror. Even Captain Wu felt goosebumps rise on his skin as he listened.
Instinctively, he glanced at Zhang Yinlin beside him.
Yelai What did he do in there? He wouldn't have brought his own interrogation tools, would he?
He's not deaf; he can understand just from the sounds.
Zhong Zhi The screams coming from inside are far more horrific than Captain Wang's interrogation of Zhong Zhi. The two are not comparable.
I didn't bring anything; I left with him. Zhang Yinlin replied.
Captain Wu clicked his tongue and said, "How on earth did they conduct the interrogation?"
You ask me? I want to know too. Zhang Yinlin glanced toward the cell.
She was equally curious.
