"Captain of Team Seven," Yelai said, feeling a bit awkward about refusing the request. "I think I'll take a break for now."
Considering that other Defense Points were not in urgent crisis, he figured there wouldn't be much progress in Rank growth, so he didn't dwell on it too much.
Soon after, he led his Gaze and the two Huskies onto the armored vehicle. They headed to the Rank Acupoint, and the follow-up defense at Signal Point was handled quickly; within ten minutes, the Acupoint group dispersed like birds taking flight.
While waiting, Yelai kept himself busy chatting with Captain of Team Seven. "Sun, you mentioned earlier that the God Entity was discovered two halves ago?"
"Oh, right," Captain of Team Seven said, tapping his forehead. "With everything going on and coordinating with command, I almost forgot. Yelai, are you interested in the God Entity?"
Yelai nodded with a smile. "After all, it's a God Entity. How could I not be interested? Plus, the Believer has had some interactions with my girlfriend."
At this point, curiosity sparkled in his eyes. "Where was the God Entity discovered?"
In the next moment, Team Seven's Vice Captain chimed in. "Yelai, you're asking the right person about the God. Captain, I'll contact Ena; you can tell Yelai about the God."
"Oh? What do you mean?" Yelai asked, intrigued.
"Alright," Team Seven's leader said as he handed the headset to Vice Captain. "As for where the God first appeared, Sun's brother was right there in that Safe Zone."
Vice Captain took the headset and continued, "The God Entity was discovered in the Safe Zone, roughly where the former capital of Egypt used to be."
"Egypt?" Yelai paused, surprised.
"If I remember correctly, the first instance of a 'God' Entity was discovered in Egypt," the Captain of Team Seven nodded.
"You are correct. Egypt is indeed where the first 'God' Entity was found. It was after the onset of the Sequence Element that the 'God' Entity Anubis was discovered. The location was roughly in the Numbered Protection Zone, while the discovery of the Deity occurred in a Safe Zone. The two Safe Zones are not far apart, or rather, it should be said that after the discovery of the 'God' Entity Anubis, the Numbered Protection Zone was relocated to the Numbered Protection Zone."
Yelai's gaze showed some astonishment. Was it to be said that the people in the Numbered Protection Zone were incredibly unlucky or perhaps too fortunate? To encounter a 'God' Entity consecutively was undoubtedly one of the most dangerous situations during the Sequence era, without exception.
"My brother was participating in a mission in the Numbered Protection Zone at that time, so he personally experienced the emergence of the 'God' Entity." As Captain of Team Seven spoke, his expression grew solemn and serious. "The danger level of the Deity is absolutely no less than that of Anubis; in fact, it may be even more perilous. Yelai, you might not know this, but the Numbered Protection Zone no longer exists."
"The Deity did that?"
"Yes." The Captain nodded. "Everyone who remained in the Numbered Protection Zone is dead—without exception. They were all killed by the Deity. It is definitely not something we humans can currently contend with. After the appearance of the Deity, the Numbered Protection Zone was obliterated, and scholars from various global Sequence institutions rushed to study it, ultimately reaching a conclusion: if one encounters the Deity, even in the Frontline Protection Zone, once a Safe Zone appears in its path, everyone in that Safe Zone must evacuate; otherwise, they will die within seven days."
"Yelai, you know about Believers, right?"
"Of course."
