Afterward, Yelai signed in at the front desk to accept the mission. The task was to obtain Heart's Blood for Bloody Mary within ten days; completing this would fulfill the mission requirements, as stated on his mission card.
He chose not to stay with the Sequence Association and left the hall with Xianya and Yezi.
"Ye Lai, are we heading to the pet shop next, or should we prepare the supplies for this mission?" Yezi spoke confidently.
Bloody Mary could enter the mirror world through any reflective surface. The usual Sequence Combat Uniforms had zippers, buttons, and other shiny parts that were smooth and reflective, making them unsuitable for this mission. Water surfaces also acted as mirrors, allowing Bloody Mary to emerge from them as well.
Although she wasn't sure how Yelai planned to carry out the mission, she shared her knowledge about Bloody Mary. Xianya, who was driving, also contributed what she knew.
"Ye Lai, in the Numbered Protection Zone related to Bloody Mary, all reflective items are minimized. If you bring anything that reflects light, it will be confiscated. So make sure to replace all your daily necessities with non-reflective ones. If you find it troublesome, I can help you prepare. Also, remember that while you're in the Numbered Protection Zone for at least a day, you must follow their rules: never stare at any mirror for more than a second at night."
She hesitated for a moment before continuing. "If you want, you can take us along. The Luo Team only brought a few members this time; besides me and Yezi, one more team member is staying behind. It would be better with more people—teamwork is allowed for this mission."
"Ye Lai," she added, "besides me and Sister Xianya, there's another team member named Yuan Youmeizi who can assist you as well."
Yelai interrupted Yezi's enthusiasm with a smile and a wave of his hand. "Yuan Youmeizi? Zhenxue introduced you all to me last night. But there's no need to worry about me; I think I can manage alone. Just tell me more about Bloody Mary."
As he spoke, Yelai glanced at Xianya with a smile.
"Xianya, you and I will head out, and could you please help me prepare the supplies?"
"Sure, Yelai. After we buy the dog food and everything, I'll get things ready for you. For dinner, do you want to eat out, or should I have Yamiko cook? She usually handles the meals."
As Xianya responded, she turned the steering wheel, not forgetting Yelai's Husky as they headed to the pet store.
During the drive, the three of them chatted about Bloody Mary and various other topics, quickly growing closer.

At the Numbered Protection Zone, in front of the Transmission Altar.
To facilitate Sequence's tasks, the affluent Numbered Protection Zone not only had multiple Transmission Altars but also dedicated ones for Sequence's use.
After presenting their ID cards, Yelai led Gaze to the Transmission Altar.
"Yelai, if you need any help, just give us a call," Xianya said to Yelai.
"Okay, no problem."
As soon as those words were spoken, Yelai vanished into the Light Vortex.
At the Numbered Protection Zone's Transmission Altar.
"Hello, are you Ye Lai?"
As Yelai stepped out of the Transmission Altar, someone immediately approached him.
As a Sequence from the Frontline Protection Zone, he would always notify other Safe Zones before undertaking tasks there, ensuring that a dedicated person would be available to receive him. This was a privilege belonging to the Frontline Protection Zone.
