Despite narrowly avoiding a fatal blow, a sharp edge left a wound on Yelai's face, blood seeping from it.

A soft gasp followed, indicating that Yelai's ability to evade the ambush surprised the attacker. Ignoring the pain on his face, Yelai relied on his keen reflexes and turned to look behind him, where a shadow was cast against the wall under the bathroom light.
To the naked eye, it seemed there was no one in the bathroom, just a patch of shadow on the wall. However, as soon as Yelai locked his gaze onto it, he wasted no time and turned to re-enter the Mirror Realm to escape the assailant's attack.
But the attacker was too fast. The shadow on the wall suddenly shifted, revealing a Shadow Blade Dagger that prevented Yelai from reaching the mirror, keeping him at a distance and ensuring he wouldn't be dragged into the Mirror Realm.
Seeing this, Yelai shouted towards the mirror while rushing out of the bathroom. "Follow me!"
The mirror, just about to emerge from the Mirror Realm, paused for a moment as it watched Yelai dash out of the bathroom before promptly obeying his command and following him.
However, as it entered the Mirror Realm alongside Yelai, it noticed that the shadow on the bathroom wall had moved. Like a living shadow, it swiftly adhered to the wall, closely trailing Yelai as he exited.
Its speed was astonishing. Even at Rank Seven, Yelai couldn't match it; it was rapidly closing in on him. Moreover, every time Yelai attempted to approach any reflective object in the villa, the opponent would preemptively block him using shadows from the room.

Yelai had engaged in multiple encounters and assessed his assailant's strength.
