Were there only two tourists left alive?
After the carousel came to a stop, Yelai heard voices nearby. A new group of tourists had arrived. They were observing Yelai as he descended from the carousel alongside the Tongue Sequence Creature. One of them glanced at Yelai, opened his mouth as if to ask a question, but ultimately closed it again. The blood on Yelai and the smile on his face, marked by the Sequence Feature, made them hesitate to approach.
Yelai stepped off the carousel, battling a wave of nausea and dizziness. He held his Sequence Amusement Park Card and approached the glass window beside the carousel. Each amusement ride had a glass window where visitors could get their cards stamped after completing the ride.
Without delay, Yelai presented his Sequence Amusement Park Card at the glass window. Just like at the entrance, a thin hand with six fingers emerged from inside, holding a stamp that was promptly pressed onto Yelai's card.
With a soft thud, the stamp was applied, and Yelai raised his hand to check his wristband. A countdown timer for one hour appeared on the display.
Yelai was not surprised. Xu Limin had noted in the information that within the Sequence Amusement Park, the rules of the rides could change unpredictably; however, one rule remained constant: after completing each ride, tourists were granted one hour of rest time to freely explore the park.
But because of this rule, tourists could not exceed one hour without engaging in an amusement ride; doing so would lead to unknown dangers.
At that moment, glancing at the countdown timer on his wristwatch, Yelai surveyed his surroundings, preparing to find a place to clean off the blood and regain his strength.
Hmm?
Just as Yelai pulled out a map to check for nearby resting spots, he noticed several tourists casting glances in his direction after receiving their stamped Sequence Amusement Park Cards. Were they trying to snatch his card?
He instantly understood their thoughts and couldn't help but let out a cold snort. Perhaps they realized that Yelai was not to be trifled with, or maybe they noticed that Yelai had only stamped a single seal. The gazes around him quickly withdrew, avoiding him.
Yelai chose not to engage further and followed the route indicated on the map, heading towards the food street of Sequence Amusement Park.
Before long, he arrived at a street within the amusement park, where shops lined up neatly on both sides. Looking around, he noticed many visitors in the shops—both Anomalous Entities and Sequencers—rarely coexisting in harmony. This was the only place in the amusement park where fighting was strictly prohibited.
Yelai casually selected a noodle shop. Similar to the ticket booth, the front counter was dark, with only a menu sign displayed. Yelai pointed at a noodle dish on the menu.
After two or three seconds, a pair of thin hands emerged from the dark counter, holding a bowl of noodles.
"Thank you," Yelai instinctively replied politely as he took the noodles and found an empty table to sit down.
Time passed quickly. While he ate his noodles and studied the amusement park map, contemplating which attraction to visit next, a figure suddenly approached and sat down across from him with a meal in hand.
Yelai was somewhat surprised. There were few customers in this shop, which was precisely why he had chosen it—to avoid being disturbed by outsiders. Yet this figure chose to sit at his table instead of any of the other empty ones.
When he looked up, half of his confusion dissipated immediately.
It’s you. Yelai blurted out upon recognizing the person in front of them.
