The figure sitting there was tall and thin, standing at two meters high, unmistakably the Tongue Entity that had survived the carousel ride with him. The shop was already sparsely populated. Each Sequencer and Entity chose a table for themselves. Yelai and the Tongue Entity deliberately sat at the same table, drawing curious glances from the surrounding Entities and Sequencers.
Yelai paid no mind to the attention, his expression one of surprise as he scrutinized the Tongue Entity before him. What’s going on? This was his first time communicating with an Entity in such a manner, and Yelai had no intention of sitting idly by. He got straight to the point.
In the next moment, the response came from the Tongue Entity, who extended its slender finger and tapped on the open map of Sequence Amusement Park laid out on the table. After a few taps, it raised its finger to point at Yelai, then pointed to itself.
You want me to join you on the rides? Yelai understood its meaning.
Sure enough, the Tongue Entity slowly nodded its head, its intention clear. The invitation to team up from an Entity astonished not only Yelai but also the other Sequencers and Entities in the shop. They had witnessed Entities and Sequencers teaming up temporarily in amusement parks before, but this was the first time they saw an Entity actively seeking out a Sequencer to form a team.
What kind of Entity is that? A Stick Figure? No, that doesn’t fit. A Slender Phantom? That doesn’t seem right either.
As the Tongue Entity initiated a team-up with Yelai, two Sequencers in the shop began to whisper among themselves. After some discussion, they realized that none of the known types of Entities matched what they were observing; it was a newly discovered Entity.
“Ayi, look at those Entities,” said one Sequencer with a scar at the corner of his eye, suddenly lowering his voice and gesturing for his companion to look at the Entities in the shop.
His companion glanced over at once, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
Compared to their Tongue Entity, the entities in the shop appeared to be cowering, seemingly intimidated by the Tongue Entity. Was it because of its rank? The Sequencer with the scarred eye expressed suspicion. His companion shook his head.
"It doesn't seem likely. Its rank should be high, but not enough to instill that kind of fear. This is Sequence Amusement Park, not the outside world."
At this point, both the companion and the Sequencer with the scarred eye came to a conclusion. It was likely that the Tongue Entity's sequence level was higher. They immediately turned their gaze toward Yelai. That person must have some significant background to make such an entity take the initiative to team up.
On another side, facing the Tongue Entity's proposal for a team-up, Yelai squinted his eyes. Entities were known for their brutality and propensity for violence; collaborating with them was akin to courting disaster, and he did not trust them. However, he did not rush to refuse.
Recalling the events on the carousel, Yelai recognized that he had indeed demonstrated considerable strength, especially in terms of Sequence Power, but it was not enough to warrant such an entity's initiative to team up with him. After all, there were many Higher Sequence Beings and powerful Sequencers who visited Sequence Amusement Park, yet it was rare for entities to actively form teams with Sequencers.
Perhaps they had other reasons for wanting to team up with him. Was it because of the Black Sequence Key? Or something else entirely?
Lost in thought, Yelai pointed at the map and asked, "Which amusement facility do you want?" The Tongue Entity shook its head and extended a slender finger toward Yelai, as if silently conveying that it was up to him to decide.
Yelai understood its meaning and narrowed his eyes in surprise, increasingly convinced that the reason for the entity's initiative to team up was not merely due to his display of strength on the carousel. It should be noted that what he showcased there was just the tip of the iceberg; it wasn't impressive enough to compel an entity to actively seek a partnership, let alone allow a human to take charge.
