He slammed his hand on the table in anger. "I brought her in to work, not to cause trouble."
"Get rid of her quickly, so she doesn't continue to harm our company."
Just as the boss finished speaking, Mi Fangfang appeared.
She wore a small tank top, with thorny vines tied around her back, and suddenly knelt down with a thud.
Then, she began to knock her head on the floor repeatedly in front of the boss.
We were all stunned by her actions.
Mi Fangfang lifted her head, tears welling in her eyes as she looked at the boss.
"Boss, I'm sorry. Something terrible happened at home, which is why I lost focus and messed up my work."
"Please, give me a chance. I'm willing to forfeit six months' salary if you could just give me another opportunity."
She cried pitifully, looking like a drenched flower.
The boss frowned. "What happened?"
Mi Fangfang sobbed, "My parents' business went bankrupt, my grandmother was hit by someone and is still in the hospital fighting for her life."
"My grandfather has been diagnosed with cancer; the doctor said he might only have three months left."
"Boss, I... I really don't know what to do."
After finishing her words, she knocked her head on the ground three more times.
The colleagues were all moved.
" Mi Fangfang, I didn't expect you to be going through such a tough time."
"I'm sorry, Mi Fangfang; we misunderstood you."
They spoke up for Mi Fangfang.
Fang Bo went over and helped Mi Fangfang up. "Silly girl, why didn't you tell us sooner?"
"If you had said something, we definitely wouldn't have blamed you."
Zhao Hai scratched his head. "I thought you were just goofing off online every day; turns out your family was in trouble."
"Misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding."
They spoke in a flurry, giving the HR representative meaningful glances, urging her to quickly pull the boss away. Once the boss was led away, they all began sending red envelopes to Mi Fangfang.
Holding the red envelopes, Mi Fangfang was moved to tears. "Thank you, everyone. You are like my reborn parents."
At that moment, Huang Jingshan noticed something was off. He counted the red envelopes and frowned. "Zhu Shan, why didn't you send Fangfang a red envelope?"
Mi Fangfang smiled and explained from the side, "Brother Jingshan, don't say that. Zhu Shan's family isn't well-off; you shouldn't make her contribute."
Huang Jingshan suddenly remembered, "Right, it was Zhu Shan who first pushed the work onto you."
"If it weren't for her, we wouldn't have passed the work onto you."
"So, the culprit is Zhu Shan!"
I raised an eyebrow in confusion and retorted to Huang Jingshan, "Huang Jingshan, have you forgotten who told me she would help solve all problems?"
"And who said that as long as I handed over the work, I could just relax and collect bonuses?"
Huang Jingshan's face turned pale. He murmured to himself, "It was Fangfang who said that at first. She patted her chest and guaranteed there wouldn't be any issues."
"Then Zhao Hai and the others saw I was fine and handed the work over to Fangfang."
I scoffed, "So, everything is based on Mi Fangfang's lies."
I leaned closer to Mi Fangfang and whispered, " Mi Fangfang, didn't you say your family loves you? But they seem to not care about you at all."
"Your parents went bankrupt and chose to run away with your sister, leaving you behind."
"Your grandmother was hit, and they didn't tell you; you found out while browsing online."
"Your grandfather has cancer, and your parents didn't inform you."
"It seems like you're just an optional person at home."
Mi Fangfang suddenly shoved me hard.
Her expression was twisted with rage. "Shut up!"
I lost my balance and fell heavily to the ground.
A sharp pain shot through my ankle.
"Ah!"
I couldn't help but cry out in pain.
My colleagues gathered around.
"Zhu Shan, are you okay?"
" Mi Fangfang, have you lost your mind? How could you push Zhu Shan?"
"Zhu Shan, your ankle is swollen; you should go to the hospital right away."
