In desperation, Lu Zhengjun decided to find Lu Xiaoran himself. He knocked on the door of Lu Xiaoran's rented apartment for half an hour, but no one answered.
Where on earth has that kid gone?
Lu Zhengjun paced back and forth at the entrance, unable to figure out what Lu Xiaoran was up to. At that moment, Lu Xiaoran was indeed not in his apartment; he was busy handling the paperwork for leasing a barren mountain.

"Who are you looking for?"
Meng Chengzhi was reprimanding an employee when he noticed a stranger standing at the door and called out loudly.
"I'm looking for Lu Xiaoran."
"Lu Xiaoran?" Meng Chengzhi's face immediately darkened ominously upon hearing that name. Not long ago, Lu Xiaoran had publicly berated him in front of forty employees, humiliating him completely. He had even pulled a prank involving a nuisance phone call that forced Meng Chengzhi to get a new phone number.
He was so furious with Lu Xiaoran that he had smashed things in his office, and now just hearing that name made him want to curse uncontrollably.
"There's no one here by that name. Get out!"
Meng Chengzhi barked at Lu Zhengjun, who stood at the door, feeling puzzled. He remembered that Lu Xiaoran had told him this was indeed the right office. He just wanted to inquire why that person had yelled at him so angrily.
"Lu Xiaoran! Lu Xiaoran!"
Lu Zhengjun remained at the door, calling out Lu Xiaoran's name while peering inside, trying to confirm whether he was there or not.
Hearing his calls, several employees inside turned their heads toward the entrance. After Lu Xiaoran's recent outburst against their boss, he had become something of a legend in the company, and these employees were curious about who had come looking for him.
"Are you deaf or something? I told you, Lu Xiaoran is not here! Get lost!"
Seeing his subordinates looking up in surprise, Meng Chengzhi recalled the humiliation he had felt back then.
With a clear mind, he strode quickly toward the door, hurling insults at Lu Zhengjun. "Hmph. Who do you think you are?"
Lu Zhengjun cast a disdainful glance at Meng Chengzhi, arms crossed over his chest, completely ignoring him.
Meng Chengzhi's temper was already explosive, and he couldn't tolerate such provocation. He rushed forward, intending to grab Lu Zhengjun by the collar.
Lu Zhengjun, who regularly exercised and was nearly fifty but still fit and muscular, reacted swiftly. With a left kick, a right whip kick, and a left jab, he knocked Meng Chengzhi to the ground in an instant.
Meng Chengzhi lay there in shock, exclaiming, "You... you're not following the rules of martial arts! You're cheating and ambushing!"
