The four men from the Liu Family followed Wang Fugui as they left the Zhao Family's tent. Wang Fugui led them in a circle around the clearing, gathering other villagers who had also finished their food, totaling about ten people. 0

Wang Fugui took these individuals down the hillside, hoping to find something edible on the mountain. However, Dragon Ridge Mountain was desolate, strewn with rubble, and the soil beneath the stones was extremely barren. There was hardly any wild grass, let alone any hope of finding wild vegetables. As for trees, only a few low willows grew at the edge of the clearing at the mountain's peak, offering no promise of wild fruits. 0

After searching for a whole morning, Wang Fugui returned with several baskets of wild grass and freshly broken branches from the willows, ready to take them back to the tents in the clearing. Although these items were not typically consumed, they could serve as sustenance in desperate times. The villagers accepted this reality and prepared to take these finds back with them. 0

As they made their way back to the tents from the southern slope, they passed by Lu Xiaoran's safe house. Wang Fugui, walking at the front, was drawn to the safe house and stopped to examine it closely. He had seen this safe house on his first day up the mountain but hadn’t understood its purpose then and hadn’t looked for an entrance. 0

Now, seeing it again sparked new thoughts in his mind. He had previously felt that this building was not meant for habitation; could it possibly be a storage facility? If it contained food supplies, they would no longer have to worry about starvation. 0

Standing in front of the safe house, Wang Fugui contemplated whether he should gather the villagers to break it open and check what was inside. The other villagers gathered around as well, curious about what lay within this mysterious structure. 0

Inside the safe house, Lu Xiaoran leaned sideways on the sofa, engrossed in a mobile game. For days now, he had been playing from dawn until dusk, cycling through his favorite games without interruption. Previously, with a nine-to-five job and a demanding boss who often required overtime, Lu Xiaoran rarely had time to indulge in his favorite pastimes. 0

Now that he found himself with what felt like an endless vacation, he was determined to make up for lost time by playing all the games he had longed to enjoy but never had the chance to. 0

Sighing, Lu Xiaoran placed his phone on the coffee table in front of the sofa, feeling utterly helpless. It had been over a week since the toxic gas had infiltrated Haitong, and unlike Lu Xiaoran, others in the Dragon Kingdom were not enjoying such a leisurely time. 0

Many families had no food left, and some were so hungry that they couldn't even sleep. Others lived on lower floors, where the toxic gas had seeped in, putting their lives at risk. In such dire circumstances, it was hardly surprising that few people had the luxury to play games online. Thus, it was inevitable that Lu Xiaoran struggled to find anyone to match with in his game. 0

Deciding he no longer wanted to continue playing, Lu Xiaoran stood up from the sofa and took a stroll around the safe house. He noticed that the trash can in the corner was now overflowing with garbage. 0
