After reading through the entire conversation, Lu Xiaoran felt embarrassed for her. That old man had really crossed the line.
Lu Xiaoran typed a few aggressive phrases he had learned from Sun Ba, preparing to give that old man a piece of his mind. However, just before hitting send, he hesitated. If he insulted the old man now, it would only serve as a momentary relief for him and wouldn’t cause any real harm to her. Moreover, if the old man blocked him, he wouldn't be able to continue his verbal onslaught.
With that thought in mind, Lu Xiaoran deleted the earlier messages. Agreeing to their request might yield better results. Once they arrived at the safe house, if he didn’t open the door for them, they would have to leave in disgrace. In that case, they would essentially have to endure a second round in the gas chamber; they might not die, but they would certainly suffer.
A cold smile crept onto Lu Xiaoran's lips as he pretended to respond to Liu Huilan: "Aunt Er, I didn’t mean to imply that I didn’t want you all to come. I was busy with something earlier and couldn’t reply. You are always welcome at my home."
After sending that message, Lu Xiaoran thoughtfully shared his current location: "Aunt Er, I’m staying on a deserted mountain in Dragon Ridge. You can find me using the location I just sent."
Upon receiving this message, Liu Huilan was overjoyed and quickly turned to show her phone to Lu Zhengjun.
"Ha ha, great! Lu Xiaoran has agreed to let us come over!"
Lu Zhengjun's face lit up with excitement after reading the message.
"Let’s hurry and pack our things; we need to set off right away!"
The thought of moving into that luxurious house from the video, which looked like a palace, made Lu Zhengjun eager to leave without delay. He hurriedly stuffed daily necessities into bags, ready to depart immediately.
"Zihau, you should pack your things too; we’re moving in with Lu Xiaoran!"
Liu Huilan walked into Lu Zihau's room and woke him up from under the covers where he was still sleeping.
Hearing that they were going to live with Lu Xiaoran, Lu Zihau scoffed disdainfully and said, "That poor guy Lu Xiaoran—how much food could he possibly have at home? Are we going there just to starve?"
Liu Huilan held her phone in front of Lu Zihau and showed him the video that Lu Xiaoran had sent earlier.
As Lu Zihau opened the video, his expression shifted from mockery to shock. By the time Lu Xiaoran opened the refrigerator, revealing it packed full of food, Lu Zihau couldn't help but drool at the sight.
Roast duck, Pork Chop Rice, and various high-end dim sum that he couldn't even name made Lu Zihau's eyes widen with excitement.
In an instant, Lu Zihau jumped off the bed, his face filled with impatience as he said to Liu Huilan, "Let's go! We need to head to Lu Xiaoran's house right now!"
Liu Huilan nodded at him, and the three of them began to hurriedly gather their things.
Quickly, they packed their belongings into bags, each person carrying a large bag as they prepared to head out the door.
