Yang Yin stepped forward, carefully observing the small car that was half suspended in the air. He noticed that the door on the left side, near the driver's seat, was missing. The area where the door had been attached was severely deformed, as if it had been blasted away by a tremendous force.
The door should have fallen nearby. "You all split up and see if you can find that door," Yang Yin instructed the three other Ability users beside him. He then turned around, bent down, and began searching along the ground. He wanted to see how far the door had actually flown.
Before long, Yang Yin spotted a slightly raised dark shadow on the ground. As he approached, he saw that it was indeed the door he had been looking for, quietly lying there. Yang Yin turned his head and estimated that the door was about ten meters away from the small car. He couldn't understand what could have happened to send this door flying so far away.
Puzzled, Yang Yin wondered what kind of force could have propelled the door like that. Just then, a chilling scream broke through his thoughts; it came from a companion about six or seven meters away. "What happened? Xiao Li, what's going on over there?" Yang Yin quickly turned and walked briskly toward his companion's direction.
The man named Xiao Li was now sitting on the ground, trembling as he pointed at something on the ground not far away. "That... over there," he stammered, his voice quivering with fear as he tried to explain to Yang Yin.
Following Xiao Li's finger, Yang Yin saw a dark shadow on the ground ahead. The toxic gas in the air obscured his view, making it difficult to discern what the shadow was from this distance. So, Yang Yin quickened his pace and approached the shadow.
When he finally got a clear look at what it was, a cold sweat broke out across Yang Yin's body.
It was a headless corpse, its skin ravaged and decayed by toxic gas, presenting a horrifying sight. Yang Yin crouched down, staring intently at the body for a moment.
He could tell that this corpse had likely just died not long ago, as the bloodstains still appeared fresh. Looking around the area, Yang Yin noticed a piece of torn protective gear on the ground. He speculated that this headless body might have been dragged out from that protective gear.
Who was this person? How had they been killed?
Just as Yang Yin was lost in thought, the other two individuals who had split up earlier came running towards him quickly.
"Yang... Yang Yin! We found two more bodies over there!"
The two of them gasped for breath as they reached Yang Yin, nervously explaining what they had seen.
"What? Take me to see!"
Yang Yin followed behind the two as they led him to the location they had mentioned. Soon enough, Yang Yin also saw the two bodies lying on the ground.
