Once the individuals secured the subject on the Dissection Table, Zhou Pengfei called over the Director of the research institute and several other researchers.
"Let me explain the specific precautions regarding the dissection study. Pay close attention," Zhou Pengfei instructed, pointing at the person lying on the Dissection Table. "This individual is an Ability user, and their Ability type is Physical Enhancement."
Upon hearing Zhou Pengfei's explanation, confusion appeared on the faces of the researchers. They had never encountered an Ability user before and were unfamiliar with the effects of Physical Enhancement.
Noticing their lack of understanding, Zhou Pengfei continued to elaborate: "Simply put, Physical Enhancement means that this person's physical attributes are superior to those of an ordinary person. For example, the chains currently restraining his limbs—if he were fully conscious, he could easily break free."
The researchers' expressions shifted to one of alarm upon hearing this explanation. One of them, standing closer to the front, asked first, "Should we be worried about him escaping?"
Zhou Pengfei shook his head dismissively. "We've already identified a pattern: Ability users must concentrate to use their powers. Regardless of the type of Ability they possess, if their focus is disrupted, they cannot activate it. We have already administered a Sedative to him, and shortly we will give him an Anesthetic Agent as well. This will ensure that he cannot concentrate."
With that, he continued, "An Ability can only be used while the user is alive; it has no effect after death. Therefore, any research on these Ability users must be conducted while they are still alive."
Zhou Pengfei approached the Dissection Table, observing the Ability user while explaining the experimental procedures to the researchers. Just then, the previously unconscious Ability user began to blink slightly.
After about a minute, his eyes finally opened wide. "Where am I? Who are you? What do you want from me?" he exclaimed in terror as he looked at the researchers in front of the Dissection Table, twisting his body in an attempt to struggle.
However, due to the effects of the Sedative, his consciousness was not fully restored yet, and he was unable to concentrate enough to use his Ability. After several attempts, he found himself unable to break free from the chains binding him.
At that moment, Zhou Pengfei calmly stepped forward and retrieved his Anesthetic Agent. He pressed down on the Ability user's arm and swiftly injected the substance into his vein.
Once the Anesthetic Agent was administered, the Ability user immediately felt his body go limp; his gaze became vacant, and he could no longer focus his mind.
He pleaded with an incredibly humble tone, "No... please, let me go."
However, Zhou Pengfei completely ignored him, not even casting a glance in his direction.
"I've already explained exactly what you need to do. Now you can get started," Zhou Pengfei urged as he turned to the group of researchers.
