The Director looked at Zhang Hua with confusion and asked, "Have you come up with a safer method?"
A sly smile crept across Zhang Hua's lips as he continued to explain, "That's right. I've checked their family information. If we contact those people first and have them cooperate with us from the inside, it will definitely yield twice the results with half the effort."
The Director hesitated after hearing this, pondering for a moment before asking Zhang Hua, "That might not be feasible. After all, those are their own family members. Would they really be willing to hand over their loved ones as test subjects?"
Zhang Hua waved his hand dismissively and replied, "These people have been trapped in that house for two months now, and their food supplies are nearly exhausted. At this point, to survive, some might even resort to killing their family members for meat. What makes you think they wouldn't hand them over to our research institute?"
He paused briefly before continuing, "On one hand, we can tell them that if they don't comply, we'll come and kill them all. On the other hand, we can offer them food and a Hazmat Suit for each person if they agree to cooperate. With such threats and incentives, they will have no choice but to comply."
The Director frowned slightly, contemplating for a while in silence. Eventually, he nodded at Zhang Hua and said, "Hmm. This is indeed a good plan. Even if these Ability users' families refuse to cooperate, we can use similar tactics to sway their neighbors. This way, with inside and outside cooperation, it will certainly be much easier to capture them."
With a friendly smile, the Director said to Zhang Hua, "Alright, Zhang Hua. Once the Heavenly Team Two arrives tomorrow, I will share your proposal with everyone. Starting tomorrow, everyone will act according to this plan."
After leaving the Director's office, a smug smile appeared on Zhang Hua's face. According to the previous team assignments, he was placed in the fourth group. Tomorrow would be his turn to carry out a mission.
Concerned for his safety, Zhang Hua had proposed the plan to the Director earlier. He wanted to ensure that he was well-prepared before making contact with the Ability users; otherwise, he risked getting hurt himself.
As evening fell, three members of the Third Group returned to the Yiren Research Institute, but the four members of the Second Group were still missing.
The Director called them several times but received no answer.
This was strange; could something have happened to them? The Director paced back and forth in his office, his expression grave as he considered the current situation.
The fact that the four members of the Second Group had not yet returned and were unreachable indicated that something had likely gone wrong. They might have been defeated by the Ability users during an encounter; whether they were alive or dead was uncertain.
Now that night had fallen and visibility was poor, it would be nearly impossible to find them. It would be better to wait until tomorrow morning to send someone out in search of them.
The Director sighed and walked over to the chair nearby, slowly bending down to sit.
Early the next morning, the Director arranged for three groups of those three individuals to drive a van along the route taken by Heavenly Team Two the day before, hoping to find the whereabouts of the four people.
After about half an hour of driving, the three noticed two dark shapes appearing faintly on the road ahead. As they approached, they realized that the two shadows were two cars that had collided. They didn't recognize the sedan in front, but the van that had rear-ended it was unmistakably from Yiren Research Institute.
