After leaving the place of exile, Sang Qingxiao first focused on losing weight. Once she had slimmed down completely, Old Vine took her to meet Zhong Kui.
Zhong Kui had no special bond with her; he was merely the person Old Vine found who met her requirements. By the time she met Zhong Kui, he was already nearing the end of his life.
