After casting a glance at her, the Xuande Emperor still intended to meet with Mingchang County, but Cai Zhuo once again intervened, whispering that Mingchang County was acting like a madwoman now, and it would be better for His Majesty to keep his distance to avoid any harm to his royal person.

Unable to resist the Emperor's stubbornness, Cai Zhuo eventually brought her in.
The once bright and cheerful Mingchang County now resembled a lunatic, her hair disheveled and her clothes haphazardly thrown on. Her eyes were red from crying, with tear stains and snot left uncleaned as she stumbled into the room.
Just based on her appearance alone, the Xuande Emperor could deem her disrespectful, but this pitiful sight inexplicably evoked a sense of sympathy in him. He turned his gaze away from her.
Upon seeing Qi Xiaomian, Mingchang County's hatred erupted. She rushed forward recklessly, but the Dragon Guard appeared just in time to block her path.
Cai Zhuo also stepped closer to comfort her, saying, "My lady, if you have grievances, you can speak to His Majesty. He will surely help you; there’s no need for such shouting and violence."
After much effort to calm her down, Mingchang County suddenly knelt on the ground with a loud thud. The sound of her knees hitting the floor was deafening.
This startled the Xuande Emperor, who turned to look at his niece again and sighed lightly, "You came here for Huanbao, didn't you?"
Hearing that name filled Mingchang County's eyes with joy. "Your Majesty remembers my Huanbao!"
"I hear those two words every day; how could I possibly forget?"
The Xuande Emperor replied dismissively, "You say he will come down smiling and bring joy to everyone, so you gave him the nickname Huanbao."
"Your Majesty! My niece knows you are the one who dotes on him the most in this world."
"I do not wish for such flattery."
Mingchang County continued, "My Huanbao thinks of you every day; he always says he wants to see you."
"Please don’t; I really don’t want to be remembered by a dead man."
Mingchang County praised her son endlessly while the Xuande Emperor expressed his impatience by sipping tea repeatedly. However, she was lost in the happiness she had created for herself and found it hard to extricate herself.
Finally unable to bear it any longer, the Xuande Emperor called out sharply, "Qi Xiaomian!"
These three words reignited Mingchang County's hatred. Her long-winded complaints finally came to an end, but just as the Xuande Emperor was about to clear his ears, Mingchang County's shrill cries assaulted him once more.
"Qi Xiaomian! It's all because of you! You wretched wolf cub! Your father has abandoned you; you envy my son and even plot against him! My son is barely hanging on by a thread now—are you satisfied?!"
Qi Xiaomian replied calmly, "Mingchang County, I have never seen your child; there’s no question of jealousy. As for plotting against him—that is entirely unfounded."
"The prescription I painstakingly found could save my son; we were just a few steps away when you ruined it! Now I can't even contact the master anymore; my son’s life hangs by a thread."
"Your Majesty," she pleaded desperately, "Qi Xiaomian wants to kill my son! Please save him!"
Mingchang County repeatedly knocked his head against the ground, each thud resounding with sincerity, so much so that he ended up drawing blood from his forehead.
The Xuande Emperor could only offer a few words of comfort, saying, "Do not worry, my lord. I will send the imperial physicians to take a look right away."
Mingchang County shook his head, dismissing the idea. "It's useless. Those physicians are all incompetent; they can't help my son at all. Not only are they useless, but they also blame me, insinuating that I was jealous during my pregnancy and didn't take proper care of the fetus."
"Oh dear, my lord, how could the physicians dare to blame a royal family member?" Cai Zhuo interjected, unable to hold back any longer as he defended the imperial physicians.
