"Who told you to make such a fuss! You never changed when you were young, and now that you're grown, even five beds can't hold you!" 0

"You're the only one who finds me bothersome!" Yin Can thought for a moment and added, "And yet you can't seem to leave me alone!" 0

Qi Xiaomian laughed in frustration, "Look around and see who would want to sleep with you!" 0

Yin Can turned to look at Misha, but Misha didn't even glance at him as she carried Two Little Treasures away. 0

Yin Can huffed and said, "I can sleep by myself! There’s plenty of room in my sword." He was just worried that if Qi Xiaomian fell asleep, he might swing the sword around recklessly. Could he afford the cost of lives and property? 0

Qi Xiaomian, annoyed, didn't bother arguing further. With a wave of his magic, Yin Can completely wilted, hanging his head as he was dragged away. 0

The night passed without incident. Zhang Butler remembered to prepare a simple breakfast for them. After confirming they would stay a few more days, he asked, "Our son-in-law, how do you plan to find him?" 0

Sang Qingxiao replied, "Based on the habits of that thing, we need to search at night. During the day, we won't be idle either; we’ll gather information and perhaps uncover some unexpected leads." 0

"Also," Sang Qingxiao continued, "please ask Zhang Butler to inquire about the people who were there that day. Any overlooked details might be the key." 0

Zhang Butler nodded in agreement. 0

As dawn broke, several of them indeed went out. Gathering information was secondary; they were genuinely enjoying a day of play. 0

Yue Hao mentioned that Meizhou City had delicious food; it wasn't just talk. Various homemade snacks lined an entire street near the city gate, their aromas enticing hungry passersby and making for great business. Some vendors were so popular that they had limits on purchases due to high demand. 0

Sang Qingxiao pouted as she queued multiple times for a small shop selling sweet and savory Sesame Cakes, dragging Qi Xiaomian along with her. 0

"Do you really like them this much? I remember you can make them too." 0

Qi Xiaomian held onto the snacks they had bought earlier and offered her another skewer as soon as she finished the one in her hand. He also frequently handed her water and napkins, making Sang Qingxiao feel quite pampered. 0

Though similar in nature, each vendor had a unique recipe. This particular shop had a homely flavor that reminded Sang Qingxiao of a small Sesame Cake shop run by an elderly couple downstairs in her later life. 0

The tiny Sesame Cakes were only as big as the palm of her hand, with a thin crispy shell sprinkled with sesame seeds. They were hollow inside with simple sweet and savory flavors—perfectly rustic. Sang Qingxiao savored every bite filled with nostalgia. 0

The Sesame Cakes were incredibly cheap—five for just one coin! They weren't enough to fill one's stomach but made for perfect snacks. Thus, they were quite popular among local children; most of those in line were kids. The two adults standing among them felt somewhat out of place. 0

They continued eating until dusk began to settle before finally strolling back slowly. 0

While walking near the Zhang Family residence, there was no rush to enter; instead, I waited outside the door. Eventually, I did see Zhang Linglong, dressed entirely in black. 0
