Curiosity sparked within Qi Xiaomian as she held the book in her hands, only to have it snatched away by Sang Qingxiao. After a careful examination, Sang Qingxiao finally handed it back to Qi Xiaomian.
Upon finishing, Qi Xiaomian's expression was one of disbelief, her first instinct being to glare at the Shadow Guard, who looked back at her with a face full of confusion. Seeing that Sang Qingxiao was eager to read on, Qi Xiaomian quickly pressed the book down. "Let me read first, so you don't get upset again."
Sang Qingxiao indeed refrained from looking further, muttering a disdainful remark and pushing the book back toward Qi Xiaomian. Qi Xiaomian read quickly, and only after she finished did Sang Qingxiao ask, "Are they all just worthless scoundrels?"
Rubbing her eyes, Qi Xiaomian chuckled lightly, "I might need some clean water to wash my eyes after this."
Sang Qingxiao scoffed, "As expected, there are far more wicked people than wicked demons. No wonder I always protect the demons!"
It was infuriating; evil had already met its retribution. Yet the damage had been done! Zhang Linglong was the victim and was still entangled with the Chen Family.
At this point, Sang Qingxiao curiously inquired, "Do you think Zhang Linglong knows her husband likes men?"
Qi Xiaomian assessed the situation and replied, "From her reaction, Chen Xiucai definitely didn't know before their marriage; afterward, it's hard to say."
No wonder the Chen Family didn't care about social status; they were merely looking for a woman to carry on their lineage.
