After the selection process was completed, Qi Xiaomian instructed Sang Qingxiao, Misha, Two Lords, and Yong Huai to go to their respective offices. Once inside the room, Qi Xiaomian first ordered the fire to be lit and then pulled Sang Qingxiao's chair closer to the brazier, placing a thick cushion beneath her before inviting everyone else to sit down together.
After Shi Yun took his seat, he eagerly asked what the Mirror Demon was. Misha explained that the Mirror Demon, as the name suggests, hides within mirrors. Here, "mirrors" do not only refer to traditional mirrors; any reflective surface such as water, bronze, glass, or even blades can serve as its dwelling.
Ze interjected, asking if that meant its range of movement was quite limited. Indeed, if one’s cultivation level is low, they would be confined to those reflective surfaces. However, the Mirror Demon had already possessed a high level of cultivation before entering the Demon Suppression Tower. Many had died or been injured in the process of capturing it with outside assistance.
Once inside the tower, due to the restrictions of its formations, it could no longer advance its cultivation and instead focused most of its energy on refining its mind. The previous experiences were nothing short of hellish for the female student; since she could not live well anymore, she chose to trade her life for a life. The Mirror Demon fulfilled its promise in return. Thus, two people died in that alley.
Shi Dingyang was killed by the Mirror Demon possessing the female student’s body while she committed suicide.
Upon hearing this, Ze murmured to himself in disbelief. Misha added that this perfectly explained why there were only two traces left in the alley; the attack did not resemble that of a woman.
After finishing her explanation, Misha stood up and said she had said all that needed to be said; whether they believed it or not was up to them. The food on the stove was still hot, so she would be leaving first.
Lord Yong called out to her, insisting that they still needed to eliminate this Mirror Demon since you know it best. Could you tell us more about it?
Eliminate? Why eliminate it? In front of Shi Yun, Misha spoke candidly: "It’s just killing someone who deserves to die."
Yong Huai glanced at Shi Yun, noticing that there was no anger on his face. He continued, "Regardless of his motives this time, the Mirror Demon is ultimately a demon, and demons are several times more dangerous than monsters. There have already been signs of him in Jingjing City, so we must remain vigilant."
