Guo County was only one-third the size of the capital, but its streets and buildings resembled those of Jingjing City closely; even the dialect spoken there was Mandarin.
It wasn't yet curfew, and the streets were bustling with activity. Under the discreet guidance of the Inspector General's Guards, the two of them successfully found the Big Wide Inn.
"Do you have any rooms available?"
"Yes, we have one room left in the A section," the shopkeeper replied, glancing back and forth between the man and woman. "Will you be staying together, or...?"
