Yuan Chang recalled that day when the fog was particularly thick, even at noon, it was still shrouded in a haze. 0

Qi Shuo interrupted him, "Was there really such heavy fog? I asked if there were any abnormalities, and you didn't mention this." 0

Yuan Chang looked bewildered. "Isn't it normal for fog to rise in winter?" 0

It was rare for the fog to persist until noon, especially since that day in the Capital was bright and sunny. The Royal Tomb was not far from Jingjing City, and the weather shouldn't have varied too much; it should have either not fogged up at all or cleared by dawn. 0

"How long did that fog last?" 0

"When it began to get dark," he replied. 0

"Isn't that unusual?!" 0

Upon hearing this, Qi Shuo grew impatient. Dealing with such a confused person took too much time; it would be quicker to investigate on his own. He relayed the inquiry to his subordinates and summoned a soldier stationed nearby to point out where the droppings of the crows were concentrated. 0

After getting directions, he called over Sang Qingxiao and Huo Qi, and they hurried over. 0

From a distance, they spotted a patch. It was said that crow droppings had a hint of black in them, and judging by the coverage, there were indeed quite a few. 0

Qi Shuo's expression darkened. The Dragon Guard hadn’t mentioned that these droppings were concentrated at the foot of Chongjing Emperor's tomb. 0

"Chongjing Emperor?" 0

Sang Qingxiao felt a headache coming on. Sang Jue should not be so blatant in his actions; after all, they were still plotting. Revealing themselves at this moment would bring no benefit. 0

Huo Qi remarked, "Why are they all concentrated here? Looking around, there's only a few scattered elsewhere. Do birds really mark their territory like this?" 0

The group moved closer quickly. 0

Qi Shuo pulled out a handkerchief and picked up a bit of the droppings for a closer look. It was dry; although it had some mud on it, there was a subtle difference from the mud on the ground. If birds had defecated here, their droppings should have adhered somewhat to the soil. Therefore, it was highly likely that this had been dumped here from somewhere else. 0

Huo Qi asked, "Is this meant to deliberately mislead us? Has the Dragon Guard been fooled by someone?" 0

Qi Shuo hesitated to draw any conclusions. "Let's keep looking around." 0

The tomb area was quite large; walking would take three days at least. Sang Qingxiao used runes, and the three of them worked together efficiently. In just half a day, they had scoured the entire area. 0

However, they found nothing noteworthy. 0

Considering that Sang Qingxiao had been busy since midnight, Qi Shuo kindly decided to end their investigation for the day. He led her back to their camp where the tents were already set up and even bathwater had been prepared. 0

Sang Qingxiao accepted his arrangements but was awakened again in the latter half of the night. 0

Hearing Qi Shuo's voice, she asked, "What happened?" 0

"It's just fog." 0

"Just fog?" Sang Qingxiao frowned. "Isn't that a bit of an overreaction?" 0

Qi Shuo continued, "The camp is quiet now. My people noticed that others are having a hard time waking up, so I was a bit worried about you, miss." 0
