The creatures continued to chew, even as their bellies threatened to burst, right until the last moment of their lives. The craftsmen finally grew fearful and ceased their participation in the extermination, turning to flee towards the surrounding houses and cover, causing chaos to erupt in an instant.
The stationed troops suffered minimal casualties, but they were still caught off guard and struggled to cope. In truth, a little oil and fire could have wiped out a large number of them. However, the situation was sudden and unprepared; even if they sought oil now, there wasn't enough in the tomb.

Sang Qingxiao quickly finished fumigating Xuande Emperor's Tomb and rushed to other tombs. It didn't take long before she resolved the large-scale rat infestation. With the red-eyed rats no longer calling out, no more rodents came rushing in. Finally, peace returned to the Royal Tomb.

When the Beast Tamer learned that the rat swarm hadn't caused significant damage—especially when he stood before those captured individuals without a single scratch—his demeanor shifted from mere Sutra teachings to something darker. After cursing a few times under his breath, his expression turned grim.
The other two also appeared quite flustered; they attempted several times to speak with the Beast Tamer, but he ignored them completely.
Qi Shuo was quite satisfied with the state of a few people; having disagreements was good, as it made them easier to break down one by one. At this moment, he wasn't in a hurry.
