"Mr. Jiang, what do you need this zombie for?" Liu Xifang asked.
"It has its uses; you don't need to pry," Jiang Chen replied.
Liu Xifang forced an awkward smile and decided not to ask further. The private room fell silent again as everyone focused on their meals, each lost in their own complicated thoughts. Liu Pingping and Yang Er occasionally stole glances at Jiang Chen, with Liu Pingping's gaze growing increasingly fervent. Even Yang Er found herself inexplicably drawn to Jiang Chen; his calmness and dominance exuded a unique charm that captivated her.
After the meal, Liu Xifang booked the only presidential suite at the nearest hotel to Niu Tou Mountain for Jiang Chen. Standing on the balcony of the suite, one could see Niu Tou Mountain about a mile away, its two peaks rising sharply to about five hundred meters, resembling a cow's head.
"Mr. Jiang, I wonder why Clan Leader Li chose Niu Tou Mountain as the meeting place?" Liu Xifang asked curiously as she approached him on the balcony.
"He naturally chose a location that would be advantageous for him. Don't you know what kind of place Niu Tou Mountain is?" Jiang Chen gazed at Niu Tou Mountain and smiled lightly.
"Niu Tou Mountain is rarely visited. Long ago, it was filled with mass graves, but now it's been turned into a cemetery. I've heard the feng shui is quite good," Liu Xifang explained.
"The feng shui is indeed excellent; the heavy yin energy makes it a place of accumulated corpses, with a pervasive aura of death," Jiang Chen remarked playfully.
"Isn't that very beneficial for the Corpse Refining Clan? Perhaps we should have him come directly to the hotel tomorrow, Mr. Jiang," Liu Xifang suggested.
"That’s fine," Jiang Chen said with a smile, showing no concern.
On Earth, there was nothing that truly frightened Jiang Chen; mere yin energy was insignificant to him.
"Then Mr. Jiang, please rest well. I've reserved a private room for dinner downstairs," Liu Xifang said.
"No need, Manager Liu; you go ahead and handle your business," Jiang Chen replied.
"Alright then," Liu Xifang nodded.
After the Liu family left the room, Jiang Chen sat down to meditate and rest; tomorrow's battle was inevitable.
The next day at noon, the sky suddenly darkened and light rain began to fall. Jiang Chen went to the balcony and looked out at Niu Tou Mountain, now shrouded in mist, obscuring its features.
A smile appeared on Jiang Chen's face; it seemed that fate was on his side. With the weather like this during the confrontation, he wouldn't have to worry about being seen.
Jiang Chen left the room, and Liu Xifang and the others were already waiting for him in the dining room below. After having lunch, Liu Xifang personally drove Jiang Chen to Niu Tou Mountain.
There was a winding mountain road that led directly to the top of Niu Tou Mountain. The area of Niu Tou Mountain was vast, and nestled between its two peaks, Niu Jiao Mountain, lay an abandoned mine pit. It was said to have been left over from a century ago, a time when human life was as cheap as grass. Many laborers had died in the mines and were buried there; others had perished in wars, with no place to rest, all thrown into this pit. Now, this pit had transformed into a lake, offering picturesque scenery, and it was quite close to Ningcheng, yet few dared to visit.
Even in summer, the place felt eerie. There were rumors of people fishing there who had pulled up skeletal remains. Additionally, many who sought to end their lives were drawn to this spot for that very purpose. As a result, numerous strange tales surrounded the abandoned mine pit, instilling fear in people's hearts and causing them to keep their distance.
