When Director Song heard Gu Yunlong ask Wang Jiefang to take off his sunglasses, he wanted to explain. However, before he could say anything, Wang Jiefang had already removed them.

Director Song chimed in, "Director, Master Wang was quite the hero! He single-handedly chased off four thugs. It's just unfortunate about his eyes!"
"But Master Wang also gained something from this misfortune—he married a beautiful wife, didn't he?" Director Song teased.
Hearing this, Sun Yuwei's face turned slightly red. Gu Yunlong noticed how nervous she was as she supported Wang Jiefang and realized she was the one he had saved—his current wife!
"Not bad! You’re lucky to have married such a beautiful wife!" Gu Yunlong laughed heartily.
"By the way, who is Wang Dayong to you?" Gu Yunlong suddenly asked Wang Jiefang.
"Wang Dayong? That's my dad. Why do you ask?" Wang Jiefang replied, puzzled about how Gu Yunlong knew his father's name. Did he know his father?
"Your dad? Then let me ask you this: is your dad a soldier?" Gu Yunlong inquired further.
"Yes, my dad seems to have served in the Huaye Division. I’m not sure which unit exactly; I was too young to ask back then. But later on, he transferred to the 38th Army for operations up north and never came back," Wang Jiefang explained.
"Why? Do you know my dad?" Wang Jiefang finally asked.
"That’s right! Your dad is definitely the one I know—Wang Dayong," Gu Yunlong sighed and continued, "I know him well. When I was a division commander back then, Wang Dayong served as my guard company commander. He was so brave in battle that I promoted him to deputy battalion commander. It’s unfortunate that after the country was established, he fell on the battlefield up north."
"What? Master Wang is Dayong's child? No wonder I felt like I recognized you!"
Director Song was surprised by the conversation between Yunlong and Wang Jiefang. "You spend all your time leading troops into battle, and you've only met Wang Dayong a few times. It's no wonder you can't recognize him!" Yunlong shot back at Director Song.
