"Bi Ma Wen?" Su Chen raised his eyebrows, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
Clearly, the other party had no regard for him as a person. If it weren't for Shen Hou's reputation, Su Chen would have charged in and dealt with him directly.
At this moment, Su Chen chose not to voice any objections and followed the soldier straight to the camp.
This camp was located in a remote area, far from the core of the battlefield, and although it fell under logistics, it still bore significant strategic responsibilities. The well-fed warhorses, ample supplies of food, and timely replenishment of various Rare Treasures and elixirs all required meticulous planning from this location, making it an indispensable part of the military.
"Camp Commander, I’ve brought him." The soldier spoke as they approached the hall.
"Mm, understood. You may leave," came a lazy and somewhat disdainful voice from within, clearly uninterested in the incoming visitor.
The Camp Commander didn’t even bother to step out; he coldly stated, "Su Chen, right? You can leave now. Remember, the hundred horses in this camp must be fed two meals a day without fail. If any of them become thin or sick, it will be on you."
However, before he could finish his sentence, a large hand enveloped in golden light suddenly burst through the wall of the hall, shaking the entire space with an irresistible force.
Bang! With a deafening explosion, bricks and stones flew everywhere as dust filled the air. The portly middle-aged Camp Commander with a handlebar mustache was yanked out of the rubble by Su Chen, his face filled with terror.
"How dare you be so disrespectful! This is a crime punishable by death on the battlefield!" The middle-aged Camp Commander struggled fiercely in Su Chen's golden grasp, roaring in anger.
Su Chen snorted coldly, his eyes glinting with frost. "If all human officers are like you, then what’s wrong with me exterminating humanity first?"
"You have some nerve!" The middle-aged Camp Commander was both shocked and furious but realized he could not escape that overwhelming power.
Just as Su Chen was about to take action, a hurried shout came from afar: "Stop!"
Hearing that voice, the middle-aged Camp Commander seemed to grasp at a lifeline and desperately called out towards its source: "Tang Shao! Tang Shao, save me!"
He looked at Tang Feng as if he were his savior. In his eyes, Tang Feng was one of the three young masters of the Tang family—noble and influential. With him speaking up, Su Chen wouldn’t dare to ignore it!
"Tang Feng?" Su Chen’s gaze flickered; he hadn’t expected to run into an old acquaintance here. Back when he was still a Master, they had come to Stellar Academy for sparring sessions and he had made them flee in embarrassment. Now he had stepped into Grandmaster territory himself.
"Su Chen," Tang Feng began slowly, his tone carrying some sincerity. "It is indeed rude of him first. Your strength should not be wasted on something as trivial as horse-keeping. How about giving me some face and letting him go? I will also request for you to be transferred to the combat camp; that is where your true stage lies."
Tang Shao, the young man, noticed the Camp Commander’s anxious expression and couldn’t help but wonder why Tang Feng was so partial to the newcomer, Su Chen.
“Enough!” Tang Feng turned around, casting a cold and fierce glance at the Camp Commander. “If you insist on opposing him, I won’t be able to protect you either.”
Upon hearing this, the Camp Commander immediately fell silent.
Su Chen pondered silently. He was unsure of Tang Feng’s deeper intentions behind this action, but the proposal from the combat camp indeed aligned with his own desires. After all, under Wang Jingqiang, he considered himself invincible; no scheme or trick could affect him.
“Alright, I’ll go with you,” Su Chen nodded in agreement, a glimmer of determination flashing in his eyes.
