Aiven nodded, his eyes filled with a hint of gratitude, yet he remained unmoved. "I'll be careful, Elf." 0

The two walked side by side. Although Aiven's steps had begun to falter, he did not stop. That voice, that familiar call, resonated deep within him, echoing the part of his soul he yearned for the most—something he could neither ignore nor abandon. No matter what, he had to find it. 0

As they traversed one rock wall and cave after another, the air ahead grew warmer, and Aiven's heartbeat quickened. He knew they were getting closer to that voice. Suddenly, an overwhelming sensation washed over him, as if the entire world had come to a standstill. The voice echoed in his ears once more, urgent yet gentle. 0

"Aiven, hurry, I'm waiting for you." 0

This time, it was no longer just a whisper; it felt like an invisible thread pulling at his heart, ensnaring him completely. Aiven's pace quickened involuntarily as his eyes fixed ahead, as if he could already see his mother’s figure—the familiar silhouette standing there, waiting for him. 0

Elf halted in its tracks, claw gripping Aiven's arm in an attempt to hold him back. "Aiven, stop! This isn't real!" 0

But Aiven was entirely entranced by that voice. He wrenched free from Elf’s grasp and nearly sprinted toward the source of the sound. "Mom! I'm coming!" 0

Elf stood there watching Aiven's retreating figure, filled with anxiety and helplessness. It knew that if Aiven continued down this path, he would fall into the trap of the 'Dark Wings' and would never be able to return. Taking a deep breath, it resolved to make one last effort. 0

"Aiven, don’t go!" Elf's voice became urgent and stern as it leaped after him. 0

However, when Aiven passed through a stone doorway, the sight before him nearly shattered his sanity. 0

He found himself in a vast hall where the walls were adorned with photographs—each one bearing a face—his mother’s face. All the images flickered slightly as if distorted by some unseen force. The atmosphere grew heavy and oppressive, causing Aiven's steps to falter. 0

"Aiven… you finally came." The voice echoed again from the photographs of his mother, as if each image whispered to him. 0

Evan's emotions became complex. He felt a strong sense of loss and confusion; that voice, that image of his mother, seemed to touch upon a distant dream. But he knew that none of this could be real. 0

"This can't be real..." Evan murmured, almost to himself. 0

Suddenly, a cold wind swept through, and the photograph shattered into fragments, scattering in the breeze. Evan's heart raced as he turned around, only to see the silhouette of the "Wings of Darkness" appearing not far away. The enormous wings, covered in black feathers, slowly unfurled, blocking out the sun. 0

Its eyes were hollow and deep, as if they could see through everything. "Did you think you could escape?" Its voice was low and eerie. "The more you seek those lost things, the deeper you will fall into the dream I have woven for you." 0

Evan shuddered, instantly realizing he had fallen into the illusion created by the "Wings of Darkness." He clenched his teeth, trying to awaken from this nightmare, but the immense pressure and pain within the dream made it nearly impossible for him to breathe. 0

Elf finally arrived, panting as he stood beside Evan. "Evan, wake up! This is just an illusion; it’s not real!" 0

"I... I can't... give up..." Evan's voice trembled as if he were battling his own inner fears. 0

Without hesitation, Elf stepped forward and firmly grasped Evan's shoulders. "Evan, remember, you are not alone! I have always been by your side!" 0

In that moment, Evan's thoughts seemed to be pulled back to reality by a surge of power. His vision gradually cleared, and the image of his mother faded away. Taking a deep breath, Evan finally broke free from the shackles of that dream. 0

"Thank you, Elf," Evan said softly, his tone filled with gratitude and determination. 0

Elf smiled and patted his shoulder. "It's okay; we’ll get through this together." 0

Evan and Elf walked further into that misty illusion, their steps steady and resolute. The surroundings remained chaotic, like torn fragments of a dream scattered by the wind, constantly trying to engulf them. As they moved forward, Evan's heartbeat gradually steadied, his mind becoming clearer, yet that deep sense of fatigue still loomed over him. 0

“How long have we been walking?” Evan gasped, glancing sideways at the Elf beside him. Despite its steady pace and lack of visible fatigue, he knew the Elf was bearing an immense burden. It appeared small, yet it carried an incredibly heavy responsibility. 0

The Elf looked up at the sky, a sky consumed by darkness, with a flicker of complex emotions in its eyes. “Time has lost its significance here. We don’t know how long we’ve been walking; it could be a minute or several hours.” 0

Evan nodded, a silence settling in his heart. Indeed, in this dark world, time seemed nonexistent, as if everything was frozen in an eternal moment. But he understood that they could not afford to stop. Every moment of hesitation and delay could plunge them into even greater danger. 0

“We must keep moving until we find an exit,” Evan said, taking a deep breath and raising his head with newfound determination. 0

The Elf remained silent but nodded in agreement, continuing to follow Evan. It knew that the road ahead was still fraught with uncertainty and peril, but it believed that Evan could navigate through this darkness and find their way out. 0

They walked for what felt like ages, the surroundings unchanged—empty, filled only with endless darkness and solitude. An indescribable sense of oppression hung in the air, as if every passing moment was devouring their hope and strength. A profound fear began to rise within Evan; he realized that if they continued like this, they might ultimately become lost in the shadows. 0

“Elf, we need to find some kind of clue,” Evan suddenly stopped, turning back to face the Elf with anxiety in his eyes. “We can’t keep going like this.” 0

The Elf looked at him earnestly, its gaze resolute. “You’re right.” It surveyed their surroundings. “We need some clues—anything that can guide us out of here.” 0

At that moment, a faint light suddenly flickered ahead. The glow was neither bright nor dim, resembling a spark of life flickering weakly in the ocean of darkness. Evan squinted his eyes, fixating on the source of the light, a glimmer of hope igniting within him. 0

“What is that?” Evan asked nervously, urgency shining in his eyes. 0

The Elf also turned its gaze forward, squinting at the light. “Let’s go check it out,” it said softly. 0
