I stumbled out of the conference room, feeling as if my legs were weighed down with lead. 0

He Yun's words pierced my heart like a sharp knife, leaving me gasping for breath. 0

I once believed that even if I lost my career, as long as I had her, I could rise again. 0

But now, she had personally pushed me into the abyss. 0

I wandered aimlessly down the street, letting the cold wind lash against my face, my thoughts a chaotic mess. 0

My jumbled thoughts twisted around my mind like a tangled ball of yarn, making it impossible to think clearly. 0

I couldn't understand why He Yun had become like this. 0

She had once been so gentle, so kind, and so deeply in love with me. 0

Those beautiful memories now felt like sharp thorns, continuously stabbing at my heart. 0

Yet now, she had turned so cold, so ruthless, so unfamiliar. 0

This sense of unfamiliarity filled me with dread, as if the person standing before me was someone I had never known. 0

I walked into a bar, pushing the door open in search of solace in alcohol. 0

The door creaked heavily, echoing the emptiness within me. 0

The dim lights and loud music only heightened my agitation. 0

The air was thick with the scent of alcohol and cigarettes, mingling with an inexplicable sense of oppression. 0

I ordered a glass of whiskey and downed it in one gulp. The fiery liquid coursed down my throat and into my stomach but did nothing to ease my pain. 0

On the contrary, that burning sensation only heightened my senses, making me acutely aware of the anguish within. 0

I drank cup after cup until my consciousness began to blur. 0

Everything around me became hazy, as if shrouded in a thin mist. 0

Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared before me. 0

It was Xu Feng. 0

He looked at me with a smug expression, his eyes filled with mockery. 0

"Lu Chen, I didn't expect you to end up like this," his voice dripped with schadenfreude. 0

I lifted my head and glared at him coldly. "What do you want?" My voice was hoarse, tinged with the weakness that came from drinking. 0

"Of course, I'm here to see just how far you've fallen." He sat down across from me, picked up my glass, and downed it in one gulp. "You used to be so full of life, and now you look like a stray dog." He laughed disdainfully, as if he were enjoying a fine performance. 0

I clenched my fists, struggling to suppress the urge to hit him. "Xu Feng, you'd better get lost." My body trembled slightly as I fought to control my inner rage. 0

"What's wrong? Do you want to hit me?" He looked at me provocatively. "Do you think you still have it in you?" He deliberately tried to provoke me, eager to see me lose control. 0

I suddenly stood up and grabbed his collar. "Xu Feng, what do you want from me?" My breath came in quick gasps, anger threatening to consume me. 0

"I want you to understand that you've already lost." He sneered, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "You lost to me and also to He Yun." His words struck like a sharp blade, piercing deep into my heart. 0

"You're talking nonsense!" I shouted hoarsely. "He Yun would never like someone like you!" I couldn't believe that He Yun could ever have feelings for Xu Feng; it was an immense insult to me. 0

"Really?" He looked at me mockingly, a hint of amusement in his gaze. "Then why does she defend me at every turn in the company? Why does she support my proposals in meetings? Why did she sign the divorce agreement and leave everything behind just to cut ties with you as quickly as possible?" Each word he spoke felt like a hammer striking my heart. 0

"Why would she do that...?" I weakly released his collar, murmuring to myself as I felt my world begin to crumble. 0

"Because," Xu Feng leaned closer, lowering his voice with a hint of satisfaction, "she has long stopped loving you. She is now my woman." 0

His words struck like a thunderbolt in my mind. 0

I couldn't believe my ears; I couldn't accept this reality. 0

"It’s impossible..." I murmured to myself. "This can’t be happening..." My vision blurred, as if the entire world had lost its color. 0

"Lu Chen, wake up." Xu Feng shoved me aside, his eyes filled with disdain. "He Yun has long stopped loving you; she is my woman now." He repeated this phrase, as if he wanted to engrave this cruel truth deep into my mind. 0

I staggered back a few steps, feeling as though the whole world was collapsing around me. 0

I had lost He Yun, lost my career, lost everything. 0

I felt like a lost soul wandering aimlessly in the darkness. 0

The music in the bar grew louder, the lights dimmer, and I felt as if I was suffocating. 0

I stumbled out of the bar and walked aimlessly down the street. 0

The cold wind pierced through me, yet my body felt no chill. 0

In my heart, there was only a frozen despair. 0

What should I do? 0

Where is my future? 0
