If it weren't for the sudden emergence of the Ichigo Mountain magic circle blocking the remaining attacks, the entire mountain would have likely been reduced to rubble. That fan was equally formidable. With a single flap, it whipped up a fierce wind that even caused Shao Lanyin to sway slightly.
That wasn't all; when she unleashed her sword aura, it was blown off course by the gusts. Naturally, Mo Zu seized this opportunity to launch an attack against her. Shao Lanyin wanted to use her magical artifact, but Mo Zu was relentless and didn’t give her a moment's respite. Even though finding a gap was difficult, Mo Zu was on par with her in strength, able to counter her attacks while also deploying his own treasures against her artifacts.
With Mo Zu and the Silverwing Roc joining the fray, the situation became even more dire. Shao Lanyin felt as if she were a small boat tossed about in a stormy sea, at risk of being swallowed at any moment.
Meanwhile, at the foot of the mountain, Pixiu watched this scene unfold and realized it could no longer remain hidden. Although Shao Lanyin was strong, being besieged by so many opponents and artifacts meant she would eventually fall. The little Pixiu's eyes suddenly filled with determination. Despite its youth, it understood the gravity of the situation.
Clutching its mysterious artifact tightly, a surge of unprecedented courage welled up within it. Perhaps its strength was insignificant, but if it could buy its leader even a little time, then its existence would hold meaning.
With that thought in mind, Pixiu took a deep breath and suddenly expanded in size, transforming into a colossal creature. Its dragon head, horse body, and lion-like limbs radiated a faint ink-like glow. It let out a long roar that echoed with resolve before charging toward the battlefield.
The fighting in the sky intensified as Shao Lanyin’s divine sword clashed repeatedly with enemy attacks, each encounter accompanied by earth-shattering sounds. When Pixiu appeared, the experts present barely paid attention to it. After all, its power was too weak; they assumed it posed no real threat.
They allowed that dark figure to rush into battle without concern. However, Pixiu’s eyes lit up as it suddenly dashed in front of the Silverwing Roc. The Silverwing Roc held a mirror in its hand and was preparing to cast a spell aimed at Shao Lanyin.
Pixiu shouted loudly, “Hey, monster! Don’t harm Lord Immortal Emperor!”
Seeing the situation escalate, the Silverwing Roc sneered, “Though your bloodline is decent, you are still young and what can you do? You might as well run away; I’ll let you go for the sake of our shared heritage as beasts!”
Pixiu was enraged by this condescension; its fur bristled as it retorted, “Don’t underestimate me! Take this!”
With that declaration, golden light flickered in Pixiu’s eyes as it swiftly summoned a basin from behind itself. The Silverwing Roc observed that the basin merely enhanced Pixiu with golden light, seemingly making it slightly stronger.
Even though I have become stronger, my abilities are still quite limited.
"Hahaha, take your food bowl and hurry down the mountain!"
With that, the Silverwing Roc wielded the Yao Jing and charged towards Shao Lanyin. At that moment, Shao Lanyin was being besieged, gradually showing signs of defeat. The Silverwing Roc unleashed the sacred artifact of the demon race while Shao Lanyin was still recovering from her previous exertions. After blocking an attack from the demon clan, she felt a surge of demonic light wash over her, leaving her dizzy and disoriented.
Just then, the umbrella, the seal, and the fan all came rushing towards her! In an instant, the world turned dark, and light seemed to vanish from the sun and moon. Shao Lanyin realized that her time was running out.
At that moment, Pixiu suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to recite the incantation. Cursing himself for his foolishness, he hurriedly began to chant:
"Gather gold and silver without bounds, absorb treasures to reveal divine power. All wealth shall return to the heart, and all rare treasures shall be stored within."
Although Pixiu's movements were somewhat clumsy, he was using all his strength at this moment. The patterns and runes of gold and silver treasures on the artifact shone with dazzling brilliance. An endless stream of power surged into the basin.
In the next moment, a flash of golden light suddenly appeared in the sky. The fan, the seal, and the umbrella were struck by this golden light and transformed into gold. The wind stopped, the rain ceased, and Shao Lanyin's movements slowed as her strength waned!
Immediately after, the three transformed treasures were directly drawn into the basin. The Scarlet Curse controlled Zhong Ren of the Ten Elders of the Wanxian Sect. He stared blankly at the sky before glancing at Pixiu and the Treasure Basin! Clearly under control, their intelligence seemed somewhat diminished.
Seeing this scene before him, Pixiu quickly flew to his Treasure Basin with a silly grin and repeatedly chanted: "Treasure!" Then he turned his gaze towards Yao Jing, who was unleashing demonic light. Just moments ago mocking Pixiu alongside Silverwing Roc, his eyes widened in shock as he hurriedly hugged his mirror close and hid far away.
"What kind of monster are you?"
Upon hearing this, Pixiu raised his head proudly: "Listen up! I am called Pixiu, a guardian under the immortal Yun Miao Sheng Zhou—no wait, I mean right guardian! Hehe!"
At this moment, Shao Lanyin stood her ground but felt a headache coming on; after living for so many years, she still couldn't tell left from right. But who could blame this little fellow for being so adorable? Just then, a roar suddenly echoed through the air.
"What's all this nonsense?" The Silverwing Roc fumed, "Go ahead and take away our Holy Artifact if you dare!"
Upon hearing this, Pixiu immediately perked up, eager to join the fray. However, Mo Zu's gaze sharpened, clearly ready to eliminate Pixiu first and resolve the troublesome situation with the Treasure Basin.
Shao Lanyin quickly positioned herself beside Pixiu, standing in defiance. For a moment, both sides halted their actions, locked in a standoff.
Just as everyone was wary of each other and reluctant to make the first move, a red streak of light suddenly appeared in the distance, a furious crimson Yao Feng sweeping toward them. This was naturally Chen Moxuan and Tiger Brother returning.
As Chen Moxuan landed at the foot of the mountain, he was greeted by a scene of chaos. The ground was riddled with craters. The once ethereal and majestic mountain now lay barren, stripped of its lush greenery.
The moment Chen Moxuan touched down, Pixiu excitedly shouted, "Boss, you're back! That's amazing!"
Seeing this, Mo Zu and the others couldn't help but furrow their brows. Although he had never seen Chen Moxuan before, he sensed that this person was not someone to be easily killed.
A being who could not be killed either had an immense background or possessed an inconspicuous protective treasure. Alternatively, they could be an incredibly terrifying existence who simply had yet to find themselves. Regardless of the reason, it was enough to instill a sense of dread in Mo Zu.
The Silverwing Roc from the demon clan gritted its teeth in frustration; it had intended to say something but ultimately swallowed back its sarcastic remarks. With such an immortal being present, any verbal provocation would be futile.
Chen Moxuan patted Pixiu and then slowly flew over to Mo Zu while seated on Tiger Brother's back. "Oh, Mo Zu," he began, "I've been reading about your legends in books for quite some time. Just a few days ago, I even visited Yun Miao Heavenly Court. I've been thinking about you day and night; it's incredible that we finally meet."
As he spoke, Chen Moxuan waved his right hand and slowly produced a lamp. "However," he continued with a hint of mischief in his voice, "it seems we won't have time for reminiscing. You all must leave something behind!"
