Elisa held my hand as we walked down the narrow corridor.
The walls on either side were adorned with strange runes that emitted a faint glow, as if whispering secrets.
I felt that these runes were telling ancient stories.
Suddenly, the passage opened up before us.
We entered a vast underground space filled with an array of peculiar devices and equipment, all exuding a sense of advanced technology.
Everything here radiated power and wisdom, representing the pinnacle of human civilization.
A tall man emerged from the shadows, his silver hair cropped short and his sharp gaze commanding respect without anger.
"You must be Su Wan," he said.
His voice was deep and powerful, carrying an air of authority. "I am Herman, the leader of the Destiny Watcher."
I nodded, feeling a sense of reverence.
Herman explained the mission of the Destiny Watcher; they were dedicated to combating the Dark Pact and maintaining peace and tranquility in the city.
The Dark Pact was an evil magical organization attempting to harness the power of magic to control the entire city and even destroy the world.
My heart raced. Could this be what I had seen before—the prophecy of the city's destruction?
A young girl stepped out from the crowd, her long red hair flowing and her sweet smile radiating vitality.
"Hello, Su Wan,"
she greeted me warmly. "I'm Sera, nice to meet you."
Sera showed me a fragment of a prophecy: the Dark Pact was about to launch a large-scale attack on the city, targeting the Energy Center.
If the Energy Center were destroyed, the entire city would fall into paralysis, with unimaginable consequences.
I felt a wave of tension and unease; I had to stop this from happening.
Herman began my training, teaching me how to better control the Prophetic Eye and harness the power of magic.
I discovered that my Prophetic Eye not only allowed me to foresee the future but also to sense information about my surroundings, giving me a significant advantage in battle.
The training was incredibly grueling, but I didn't give up. I constantly pushed my limits, striving to enhance my abilities.
I had to become stronger to protect myself, my loved ones, and this city.
Herman revealed the true identity of the Dark Pact's leader, Dix. He had once been a member of the Destiny Watcher but betrayed the organization out of a thirst for power and became the leader of the Dark Pact.
I felt shocked and enraged; I had to defeat him and fight for justice.
At that moment, a piercing alarm shattered the silence of the base.
Sera's voice came through with urgency. "The Dark Pact is here!"
My heart sank suddenly.
Sera's voice was urgent, tinged with an unmistakable fear. "The Dark Pact, they're coming!"
My heart plummeted, as if I had fallen into an icy abyss.
There was no time to think. Herman grabbed my hand and pulled me deep into the base, running frantically.
Elisa and Sera followed closely behind. The blaring alarms echoed through the facility, red lights flashing wildly, filling the air with a suffocating tension.
Herman abruptly pushed open a heavy metal door, leading us into a concealed room.
In the center of the room, a magical circle emitted a ghostly blue light, resembling the eye of a deep abyss.
"This is the entrance to the Prophecy Chamber," Herman said in a low voice, carrying a weight of seriousness. "Su Wan, you need to enter there and glimpse the plans of the Dark Pact."
I took a deep breath, forcing down the fear within me, and nodded firmly.
I knew this was my mission.
I had to stop the Dark Pact's conspiracy, protect this city, protect my home.
