Liu Ru Yan and Lan Ruo Yi exchanged glances. "What did we come here for again?"
"Oh, you mentioned feeling something was off when you saw the blood on Ling Jie’s shoes. Then we encountered the ghostly Li Meng, and you even said you saw someone in her office," Lan Ruo Yi replied expressionlessly.
Lan Ruo Yi remembered that every time this happened, she wished she had a good brain. She hoped she could think clearly in critical moments.
"Huh? Meng Jie, what are you talking about? We really just came to get our notebooks," Liu Ru Yan feigned innocence as she looked at Li Meng.
Li Meng smiled lightly. "You might genuinely want your notebook, but Ru Yi probably doesn’t."
Lan Ruo Yi and Liu Ru Yan exchanged glances.
Liu Ru Yan said, "That’s quite harsh."
Lan Ruo Yi added, "Let me speak! You stay quiet!"
Liu Ru Yan replied, "Get revenge for me!"
"Meng Jie, as you said, we indeed didn’t come for our notebooks. How can you be sure that what you're talking about is the same thing we’re discussing?"
