Jon Delson had spent many years searching in Huaxia according to the methods of the Immortal Dragon Seal. He had almost gathered all the necessary individuals, but there were too many who met the criteria. Only one person was needed for the sacrifice, and there was only one chance to break the seal, so the requirements for this sacrificial individual were exceptionally high.
The Undying Dragon Clan had been suppressed for thousands of years, becoming violent and filled with resentment, completely darkened in nature. Therefore, the person chosen for the sacrifice also needed to possess a dark heart. To turn these ordinary people into something sinister, Delson had devised this game, allowing them to become cruel, violent, and filled with hatred through its challenges.
Just moments ago, they had only reached the second level of the game. If they continued playing, it would lead those teamed-up Huaxia people to become entirely corrupted. The later stages of the game were even more unacceptable; it encouraged this group of Huaxia people to build trust and friendship in the early levels, only to force them to betray their teammates and even kill them for survival in the later stages. Those who could succeed in the game would see their pure hearts turn into cold, blackened ones.
At this point, Jon Delson looked at Jiang Chen; he felt he had said enough.
“Do you find this game interesting?” Jiang Chen asked with a cold smile.
“I have no choice. I am not my own master anymore. My life is worthless, but if I don’t act according to the wishes of the Undying Dragon Clan, the dark energy within me will surely kill me and seek out a new host,” the old man said helplessly.
“I refuse to believe that the Undying Dragon Clan hasn’t promised you any benefits,” Jiang Chen replied, his gaze steady. The old man's heart involuntarily tightened as if Jiang Chen had seen through him.
“It seems I can’t hide anything from you. The Undying Dragon Clan did say that once the seal is broken and they see daylight again, I will be their servant and can gain immortality like them,” Jon Delson admitted, his tone tinged with excitement. At his age, he lacked nothing but time.
“Ha! Do you really think that’s possible?” Jiang Chen countered.
“It should be possible; after all, the Undying Dragon Clan possesses secrets of immortality—something you must have heard about,” Jon Delson said, feeling less confident under Jiang Chen's scrutinizing gaze.
“Old man, have you heard of Qin Shi Huang?” Jiang Chen asked.
“I have heard of him; he was your emperor from Huaxia,” Jon Delson replied.
“If he couldn’t achieve it, what makes you think you can?” Jiang Chen laughed. The pursuit of longevity had no shortcuts; even becoming an immortal came with a lifespan—though much longer than that of ordinary cultivators in the Xiu Xian World. People mistakenly believed that immortals lived forever.
Breaking through the shackles of longevity was something Jiang Chen hadn’t accomplished in his past life; let alone Earthlings could do so—it was simply a beautiful fantasy for this old man.
“Perhaps Qin Shi Huang is still alive?” Delson suggested.
Jiang Chen was left speechless.
“If he were alive, you'd be one of the Huaxia people now,” Jiang Chen pointed out.
Jon Delson initially didn’t grasp what Jiang Chen meant until a few seconds later when he realized that his current state indeed seemed a bit delusional. If Qin Shi Huang were alive, it might change the world’s dynamics entirely; a thousand years ago, ancient Huaxia could be considered a global superpower.
“Alright then, didn’t you say you have a submarine that can dive into deep waters? Accompany me down to see this Undying Dragon Clan,” Jiang Chen proposed.
“No, that’s not possible! I went down last time and it already displeased them,” the old man quickly refused, clearly terrified of the Undying Dragon Clan.
"They can be dissatisfied all they want; what can they do about it?" Jiang Chen said with a cold laugh.
"They will soon break through the seal and come out," the old man replied.
