I didn't notice it at first, but I ended up getting a gynecological infection that took months to heal.
Later, one time when I was rummaging through my pockets, I discovered that there were her socks inside. Given that we were in the same dormitory and she had a pitiful look on her face while admitting her mistake, I decided to let it go.
However, now I didn't want to just brush it off and let her off the hook. I quickly took out my phone, snapped a picture, and sent it to the dorm group chat.
"Dear roommates, please check your belongings and see whose socks and underwear accidentally fell into my bucket?"
"For everyone's health, the owner of the underwear should come forward and provide me with appropriate compensation."
I paused for a moment before sending another message.
"If no one claims them within five minutes, I'll hang the socks and underwear in the hallway for everyone in the building to see."
"Don't say I didn't warn you."
Gao Xiao and Shan Qingqing immediately replied, stating that they weren't theirs. However, Liu Ke remained silent.
Oh, so you're going to play this game with me?
I sneered and lifted the bucket, pouring out the water inside before walking over to Liu Ke with the wet socks and underwear in hand.
"Liu Ke, since you won't admit it, I'll help you!"
With that, I dumped the underwear directly onto Liu Ke.
She gasped and jumped up from her chair, pointing at me furiously: “Zhao Wu, are you crazy?”
I raised an eyebrow and smiled: “I’m not crazy; you’re the one who is! You clearly have an issue but still mix your underwear and socks with others’ laundry. What are you up to?”
Liu Ke turned pale and shouted at me: “What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
I raised an eyebrow: “You don’t understand? Fine, I’ll dump all your stuff in the hallway so everyone can see your disgusting behavior.”
Liu Ke panicked and rushed to grab my phone.
But I had already anticipated her move and dodged out of the way just in time.
With a smirk on my face, I looked at Liu Ke: “Liu Ke, you want to steal my phone? Do you think everyone is like you, enjoying being a thief?”
Liu Ke's expression changed dramatically. "Who are you calling a thief?"
I raised an eyebrow. "Of course, I'm talking about you. Last time you stole my slippers, and this time you've taken my bucket. What else would you be if not a thief?"
Furious, Liu Ke's face turned red as she smashed the bucket to pieces and lunged at me with claws outstretched.
I easily subdued her and then called our counselor. "Hello, counselor, there's a thief in the dorm; my things have been stolen."
Liu Ke screamed like a madwoman, "Zhao Wu, stop twisting the truth!"
I interrupted her, "Counselor, the thief is trying to steal my phone."
On the other end of the line, Zheng Yang's voice was laced with annoyance. "Why are you two fighting again? Just wait; I'll be there right away."
I hung up and leaned against the desk, watching Liu Ke.
A few minutes later, the Class Assistant arrived, followed closely by the counselor, who was still in his basketball uniform, beads of sweat on his forehead and a look of confusion and anxiety in his eyes.
The counselor frowned at us. "What's going on? Why are you two causing trouble in the dorm again?"
I blinked innocently. "Counselor, she started it."
The counselor turned to Liu Ke.
Liu Ke lowered her head, feigning innocence.
The counselor sighed. "Alright, enough of this. Just write a reflection on your behavior, and let's move on."
I nodded. "Sure, I can write a reflection, but Liu Ke has to buy me a new bucket."
Liu Ke bit her lip. "I already said it was an accident."
