In the handheld radio, Feng Wuhen urged, "Scar Monkey, what are you doing lagging behind? Hurry up and come over; we need to get out of this forest before noon." 0

Scar Monkey remained silent for a while before finally managing to utter two words: "Received." 0

He took a deep breath, quickened his pace, and with a burst of determination, soon caught up with the group. 0

Unbeknownst to the others, he discreetly tucked away the bundle of yellow tape in the side pocket of his waist bag, while also burying his own fear and confusion deep within himself. 0

The rest of the team seemed oblivious to his odd behavior; they all assumed he had merely fallen behind due to an urgent need. 0

During their break, Scar Monkey appeared nonchalant but was secretly observing Wuchang Ghost. 0

He noticed that Wuchang Ghost moved with coordination, had solid footing, and possessed well-defined muscles. There was an air of competence about him; he was likely a skilled fighter. 0

Suddenly, as if sensing something, Wuchang Ghost turned his gaze toward Scar Monkey. A jolt of panic shot through Scar Monkey's heart, and he quickly lowered his head, pretending to be intensely focused on the blades of grass beneath him. 0

Before long, two feet clad in hiking shoes appeared beside the lush green grass—Wuchang Ghost had approached him. 0

Wuchang Ghost asked bluntly, "When you were lagging behind earlier, did you see anything?" 0

Scar Monkey's heart skipped a beat at the question, but he forced a relaxed smile and replied, "I saw some interesting things!" 0

Wuchang Ghost's expression shifted to one of tension as he pressed further, "Oh? What did you see?" 0

Scar Monkey's eyes darted around as he feigned excitement, saying, "I saw three rabbits hop by—one big white rabbit leading two little gray ones, bouncing along. They were so cute, haha!" 0

Wuchang Ghost finally relaxed his expression and replied nonchalantly, "Oh really? That does sound quite fun." 0

Scar Monkey nodded eagerly, "Yes, yes!" Internally, he felt relieved that his acting was passable, but he couldn't help but think that if he had chosen to pursue acting back in the day, he might have been quite good at it. 0

After this little test, Scar Monkey was even more convinced that there was an unspeakable secret between the two Wuchang Ghosts, one that had escalated to a point of tension where it could lead to a deadly confrontation. 0

He discreetly scanned his teammates. Feng Wuhen was gulping down water, Ming Ming Liang was focused on fixing his hair, and Xiao Huihui and Miao Lang were enthusiastically engaged in a game of chess. 0

Watching all of this unfold, Scar Monkey couldn't shake the nagging thought—was there anyone among them who was in the know? 0

He pondered this for a while but found himself at a loss. Thus, he decided that for now, silence was the best option. 0

As the team continued onward, Scar Monkey remained quiet, replaying the bizarre events of the past two days and nights in his mind, yet still unable to make sense of it all. 0

At noon, the sun blazed fiercely overhead, filtering through the gaps in the leaves like strands of golden silk cascading onto the ground, creating patches of light. 0

Everyone was utterly exhausted; the atmosphere was particularly somber along the way. 0

Wuchang Ghost had deliberately kept himself at the back of the group, which made Scar Monkey feel uneasy—his shirt was damp with cold sweat from the tension. 0

Finally, their leader Feng Wuhen shouted excitedly, "Look! Up ahead is the edge of the forest, and there's that stretch of sparkling gravel beach glimmering under the blazing sun!" 0

Upon hearing these words, everyone couldn't help but feel a surge of energy. Feng Wuhen, filled with unexpected joy, strode forward. 0

The moment they stepped out of the forest, the dazzling sunlight poured down unreservedly onto Scar Monkey. He instinctively glanced back and happened to see Wuchang Ghost looking back as well. 0

At that moment, the sunlight outlined the shape of Wuchang Ghost's head, revealing a shadowy silhouette that seemed to conceal countless untold secrets. 0

Scar Monkey's mind suddenly flashed back to the image of the bare-bodied Wuchang Ghost in the dense forest. He remembered that the person had disheveled hair, resembling a bird's nest. 0

And last night, the figure in white, Wuchang Ghost, also appeared to have messy hair, looking completely dazed. 0

Scar Monkey pondered quietly to himself; it seemed that the "white-clad" figure from last night and the "bare-bodied" one just now were likely the same person. Of course, if they truly were human and not something else entirely. 0
