Book Synopsis
Lu Zhi (241 BC – 180 BC) was the Empress of Liu Bang, the Emperor Gaozu of Han, and after his death, she was honored as the Empress Dowager. She was the mother of Emperor Han Hui Liu Ying.
She is recognized as the first empress in history. Her most famous tale involves her poisoning Consort Qi and turning her into a human puppet. However, she is also noted as the first woman in Chinese history to wield power for fifteen years, during which time the realm enjoyed peace, and the people focused on agriculture and prosperity.
